Conhecemos este restaurante por acaso, mas ficamos muito satisfeitos. O local é pequeno, porém o ambiente é agradável, os pratos são saborosos, o atendimento é bom e o preço honesto. Self service a quilo (consumindo a partir de 350g, grátis a sobremesa do dia).

Comida japonesa bem boa. Pizza ótima de maneira geral. Caixa muda de botequim boa. Não comemos a comida mexicana. Cerveja e atendimento ótimos. Bar da noite ilheense.

I ate in the newly opened buffet style, Madarim in June, 2008, that also has delivery service. Chinese and oriental foods are offered including seafoods, tofu, pork, beef, chicken, vegetable and noodle dishes. I chose a mixed plate, including yakisoba, which i found particularly delicious. The proprieters are Paulo and Denise, and family members and staff also work in the restaurant.Clean and friendly service. Owners speak English and Portuguese.Gave also useful cultural and tourist information about the historic Ilheus, Itacare cocoa rain forest region.

THere is a new sushi in town ,Boteco Sushi orla sul, that we tried but I don't find it better then Kenko. It's just cheaper. Kenko is a bit expensive, but for now is the better one. And they also offer All you can eat sushi once a week. We'll se for hove long will thay stay so good. For it wuldent be the first time for the quolity to fail... But for now thay are realy good.Pra mim melhor sushi da cidade. E um pouco mas caro do que o novo Boteco Sushi Orla Sul, mas pra mim e melhor do que Boteco. Ate oferecem, uma vez pro semana, rodizio de Sushi. Toma que continuam coma qualidade, por que eles tem tendencia de queda do qualidade. Por enquanto prefiro Kenko.

They have two restaurants, one in town that opens at midday, and one near the airport, which I love. The other day I went to the one in town and the fish tasted funny. It used to be really fresh, but funny tasting sushi is not a good sign. The consequences can be drastic. The restaurant near the airport is better, although there are always seating issues. Service in both is great, no complaints, and so is hygiene, etc. I used to go there every single week and never had any problems. Great food, decent prices and my favourite devassa beer.

Fomos nesse restaurante ,que embora leve seu nome.nao tem mais o chef que inspirou o mesmo.Sem saber deste detalhe ,entramos no mesmo estranhando de cara ,que estava bem vazio,coisa impensável,tempos atrás.,pela sua qualidade.Pedimos de entrada uma chapa de brócolis ,como descrito no cardápio,e o garçom ,desconhecia esse prato,e disse que não havia mais também essa verdura na casa,pois o estoque havia acabado.Pedimos 2 tepans de camarões ,um prato extra de legumes na chapa,uma farofa ,o molho especial da casa e uma poção de farofa com ovos.O tepan veio com os brócolis que tinham acabado,e outras verduras sem o brilho,sabor e crocancia de antigamente.Os camarões poderiam estar um pouco mais grelhados também.A limonada e o suco be laranja,estavam apenas razoáveis..O serviço confuso,o garçom esquecendo varios pedidos,não colaborou em nada para abrilhantar o jantar.Decoracao feia e sem criatividade ,preços altos e sem os serviços.correspondentes

Although the restaurant overlooks a main road and the sea, the actual sushi bar is tiny and very uncomfortable. The service was good, but we ordered a "combinado" for 100 reais and got 10 pieces! In other, more comfortable sushi restaurants in the city you get 4 times the amount for the same price and a sometimes superior quality. We basically had to leave and eat again somewhere else. Would not recommend this bar to anyone who is hungry for sushi and wants to spend a cozy night out with friends.
