Think of Cheers for a sushi restaurant. This is our neighborhood place for lunch or dinner when we are in the mood for fresh fish and consistent service. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. It is kind of tucked away in the corner of the strip mall so you are not likely to just notice it.We like the rolls:freaky Friday, orange blossom and fire cracker. Sashimi is also quite good. Not the fastest service, but worth the wait. Rolls are half price. I have tried several sushi places in the area and find this place very satisfying without the high dollars.

We went in for lunch. Food was good. Nothing stood out as outstanding but good. Was slow while we were there so service was very good. They had some lunch specials that we didnât try this visit. Have a nice sushi area around chefs. Prices are good for lunch. Bee will go again when in area.
This is a friendly family run business who know many of their customers and remember what you like to order. The food is grilled and the combination plates include either grilled chicken, beef, or seafood along with bean sprouts and a green salad and a scoop of rice. You can get it bento style or you can order a rice bowl or noodle bowl. The food is not oily or greasy like the food at Panda Express. You can see many of the customers come in wearing their clothes from a gym workout.

I had the Bento box and it was great. Good value and good quality with plenty of food to fill you up. Service was good and food came promptly.

We had a group of 35 so we had many tables. We all had fun and enjoyed ourselves. Some of the cooks put on a better show than others but in the end it was the food that counted.Kenneth, Our goal is to create great guest memories. We are pleased to hear we were able to do so for you and your guests!

We walked in the door around 5:30 on a weeknight and were seated immediately. A quick look around showed that a great deal of care and money had gone into the decor. It's contemporary and elegant. Our server arrived immediately to take our drink and food orders. The nigiri sushi arrived quickly, and the yellowtail (hamachi) was excellent. For entrees, I ordered the mixed tempura, and my husband had the chicken katsu. Both were excellent. Even the complimentary miso soup was the best I've had. We plan to return tomorrow night and try more dishes.I have to say one small negative thing: both of us found the list of wines by the glass to be lacking. Otherwise, an excellent experience!

Before you visit Trader Joes in Fair Oaks, stop in here. It's very popular, but I've rarely had to wait long for a table and have eaten here many times. I especially love the salmon teriyaki and the salad (great dressing). The servers are so nice, even when they are slammed.

You may find it helpful to visit Yelp.com and search for Yui Marlu in Fair Oaks, California. This restaurant used to have another name. The address is still the same, but with a new name of Yui Marlu.
We came away with two opinions of this small hole in the wall Japanese restaurant. My sushi roll with tuna and avocado was very good and freshly made. The wakame salad was also well prepared. However my dinner partner ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was not very good. The dish was fatty and had little flavor. It was served lukewarm.Another patron told us this was a favorite of his. The secret seems to be in sticking to the house specialty rolls. Service was warm and friendly. Atmosphere is very casual. It's a fine neighborhood drop in spot.

Any location is worth a visit if you love sushi and wonderful service. Rolls are great and so are the appetizers. Special occasion or quick lunch. They never disappoint.
