Kyoto is two doors from one of our favorite seafood restaurants and I tried it when they other restaurant had a long wait list. Now it's my first choice. Love steamed gyoza and theirs has been excellent 3 times now. Some creative sushi rolls and they are very willing to modify the preset rolls. Ramen has been very good, though I thought it had a slight oil cast; wife didn't. Both chicken and steak and seafood rice bowls were delightful. Service was just as much as we adkded for, and several of the wines were very good for the price.

I always try to indroduce my children to something new, especially food. Today was no exception. Tamashii Ramen House was the best ramen I have ever had. This is not grocery store bought ramen, this was an excellent meal. My 13 year old daughter had the curry ramen and I had the spicy ramen. We also had the Gyoza as an appetizer and topped it off with Ramune strawberry and peach drinks. What a great place to share a meal with my daughter. Awesome Ramen!!

1 review5.0 star rating 8/5/2016Just returned from my second time at Muu Shabu. Better than the first, and that was VERY good. This time I was with my husband, who had not eaten there prior to tonight. The best parts: the food is fresh; you season your food yourself; you prepare it yourself, so you can pat yourself on the back. If udon noodles fall off the chopsticks or slide out of the pot or bowl, that's just part of the evening's entertainment. My husband had the pork and I had the vegetables with extra udon noodles and an egg, and everything was wonderful! He has diabetes and kidney disease (stage 3), and this food and type of preparation are PERFECT. We recommend this wonderful, small place to anyone who likes to try new types of cooking; who enjoys interacting with other people; and who just plain enjoy good, fresh food!

Get this sushi just for the eye appeal. This shop knows how to make the sushi look as good as it tastes. Do not let the "eel sauce" throw you off. It is the taste you are familiar with when you eat sushi.

Kobe Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse

Reviewed By jguski1

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a good selection in its menu. The food from the hibachi grill is as you would expect being hot and freshly cooked in-front of you. We ordered shrimp, steak and chicken dinners. The "mushroom" soup is a bland broth with a few micro thin slices of mushroom. Unfortunately, every one of our meals was bland. The food wasn't objectionable, it just wasn't that good either. I'm use to favor and that was missing. Too bad as it looked like the quality of the ingredients was good.

I visited during a slow period so I had a private chef! He was awesome and the most talented I've ever experienced. I had steak and salmon. Meals come with soup and salad. The food was cooked perfectly and the amount of food was HUGE! Literally, I had enough leftovers for two lunches.

The Sushi Bar

Reviewed By michaela3640

After many years in Tulsa, I moved to Edmond the Spring of 2016 to care for family. I have been eating sushi since Nobu opened the first sushi restaurant in Tulsa (Fuji) over 30 years ago. I am also friends with Kenny Chan who has the two incredible Sushi Hana Restaurants in Jenks/Tulsa.In short, I was a Tulsa foodie. I was in crisis when I moved.I searched high and low for new Mom & Pops. Sushi is EVERYWHERE these days but in Edmond & OKC it is often an afterthought. A menu/entree restaurant with a token sushi section,, maybe a 6 top, where no one sits. The sushi is more of an appetizer. Not at the Sushi Bar.When you walk into the Sushi Bar Sushi is the star. The Edmond store is cavernous with entree dining primarily to the right and left upon entry....designed almost as if they are dining rooms but open air. The center has dining but the focal point is QUITE CLEARLY the Sushi Bar positioned in the back center of the restaurant, bar services to your right and the kitchen nestled behind. The Sushi area is a 12-15 top with the main sushi chefs centered and sous chefs to your left. The sous chefs do much of the prep finely dicing the baseline enhancers (scallions, cucumber, etc.) When fresh fish arrives it is prepped at the Sushi Bar which I love. Both sides have huge chalkboards with weekly specials. Spolier alert; the free Sushi Bar app alerts you to the specials so when Blue fin,Uni, Toro, and Eel Tempura (my favorite) arrive .you get the heads up because they move very, very quickly. The Sushi Bar has an intensely loyal and well known body of regulars. Millionaires and blue collar will be seated at the bar together swapping favorite rolls and watching ESPN on the large screen. Regulars are known by name and servers know their favorites. Many patrons have rolls which bear their names...yes Dan I am referring to you and the lovely Anna Marie. The Bar is a melting pot. Employees and owners are from Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Burma, Japan, Vietnam, Guatemala, Mexico, and the USA. My brother is Downs and they rig chopsticks for he and his friend and, Downs kids have problems swallowing, they make dishes which are user friendly (Sushi Tower--amazing presentation,,,,signature dish which collapses from a 6 inch tall tower the width of a large drinking glass into a type of sushi hash. The fish is delivered fresh multiple times during the week. Selection is excellent and escolar (mistakenly called white tuna is a mainstay--a very under appreciated fish).. The Orae King Salmon is a must when on the chalkboard. Victor & Jamison (2 of the 3 owners) excel at making rolls on the fly--tell them what you like or, in my case, what I do not, and set them free. Keep in mind, with the app, every six visits gets you a free rolls valued up to $15. I promise you, here a $15 roll is pretty significant.Knife skills and presentation are off the charts. Garnishes are edible and cucumbers sliced so thinly as to be opaque. Avocado is fresh and of the highest quality. The Ika Salad )Marinated squid) is outstanding and you initially will not believe it is squid. If you get the Gyoza, get the pan seared. Udon and Soba dishes are well done and a safe alternative for those who cannot sushi.Servers are excellent. You can tell people enjoy working here and turnover is low; an excellent sign. The Chefs truly know Sushi and slice the sashimi to remove veins and membranes unlike some sushi places. How did I find the Sushi Bar? 2 ways. I was eating at 3 Tequilas and was listening to 2 Thunder Girls talk about Sushi. I asked and they recommended Sushi Bar, Second, Google.I have eaten sushi across the United States for over 30 years. The Sushi Bar is, for my taste, the perfect blend of quality, comfort, friendliness and variety.Give it a try. Just leave a stool in the middle of the Sushi Bar empty for a former Tulsan to join you who has to take picture of his rolls to remember what is in them.MSA

While visiting family in Edmond, my son in law recommended this place for our lunch. Sushi was extremely good and very well prepared with presentations that are excellent. I had some blue fin tuna sashimi, followed by tuna tatatki and their signature icon roll. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of all the menu items, and went out of her way to help us with our selections. Definitely a must go, if you really like fresh and good sushi.
