We stopped in here after grabbing a Groupon deal and longing to try it. And boy was it delicious! We started with an order of the spicy garlic edamame, which was so well flavored. Be warned, I like spicy, and it is spicy. I tried the vegetarian bowl, and my husband tried the sweet corn. Both were really delicious and we both agreed we'd come back for them again.

I really like this place. Good sushi and inventive dishes. The servers are friendly and well trained. I have visited with family about 4 times over the past couple of years and have never had a bad experience.

Located on the corner of Marsh Road, Maru Okemos features a full sushi bar, cozy seating in a hip ambience to match the modern Japanese dishes.
Maru in Okemos is a good choice for fresh sushi. There is a wide variety. Tables are bit crowded together making privacy tough, however, the noise level compensates some. You can still talk at the table (unlike many other places today). The wait staff could use more training. They seem to have the capability so we look towards management to pick up their game.

I have picked up lunch here. Fast service, clean and open. Nice variety of dishes, includes salads and zuchini noodles. A little over priced for take out, but tasty and different than the usual. I would consider a casual business meeting here in the future.

TEMPT YOUR TASTE BUDS VISIT EAST LANSING, MI'S FAVORITE JAPANESE RESTAURANT In a unique blend of fresh fish, handmade noodles and savory spices, Omi Sushi is one of the best places to eat Japanese food in East Lansing, MI. Omi Sushi is a modern Japanese r
Granted, this is a sushi restaurant. While my lovely wife is a fan of the cuisine, I am not, and usually look for non-sushi or sashimi items on the menu. When I saw the hibachibeef option, I ordered it. I ordered my sirloin rare, but what was presented to me was shoe leather, beyond well done. My lovely wife liked the California roll enough, but was not overly excited about the shrimp rice item. Our waitress took immediate action on the beef and put in another order for rare, this time the sirlon came what I would consider medium to medium well. Not a speck of pink in the middle and a bad cut of meat with a lot of gristle to it. The miso soup was delicious and the salad was so-so, with what tasted more like an Italian dressing than the traditional ginger dressing. The fried rice was very good. I took my second batch of steak home and, with strategic dicing and other knife work, was able to extract two omelets out of the leftovers. We will not be back.

Located in East Lansing off of Lake Lansing and Coolidge Road, Maru boasts a full bar, sushi bar + seasonal patio in a hip ambience.
Our family LOVES SUSHI! We have traveled quite a bit and I kid you not.....Maru is tough to beat! Their dishes are always fresh and presented to the table like a fine piece of art. We always seem to compare other sushi restaurants to Maru and so far, they remain our favorite! Favorite items to order.....Soy Joy and their signature Ceviche

This place does not disappoint. The food is always fresh, pleasing to the eye, tasty and more than enough to fill the empty place. The popular items are their sushi, sashimi and bento boxes. For a change, I tried one of their soba noodle dishes. It was also pleasing to the eye and delicious. Keep experimenting with new stuff!
