Havenât been here for over a year. Decided to go on Thursday for lunch at 1 pm. We (wife and)were seated at a cook table. We were afraid we would have to wait but to our surprise, they sent out a cook to cook for us. Great cook and show man ship. Food was excellent and in abundance. We had enough leftovers for another meal. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I are frequent diners at Sakura. BPP Roll is our favorite large roll. Skip the spicy scallop roll - they are always very skimpy on the amount of scallop in this one. Cold sake selection is small but decent. Check out the daily specials on the white board by the sushi board - don't pass up the raw oysters if they are available!

Whenever I travel I always try and find the local sushi place for at least one meal. Trip Advisor indicated that this was one of the better joints in the Akron area so my travelling partner and I gave it a shot. Standard décor for a repurposed warehouse building. One-sided booths on one wall, tables in the middle, and a small sushi bar as you walk in. The beer selection was somewhat limited but did have the usual Eastern selections. They also had a reasonable selection of wines if thatâs your bent. There was an extensive list of appetizers, either from the sushi bar or from the kitchen. We opted for the edamame. The standard sashimi/nigiri options were available (no Toro though). The big ticket here is the variety of rolls available. There was a solid two pages of rolls in the menu, many that Iâve seen before, but plenty of new ideas as well. One thing to point out is that the rolls are larger in diameter than anything Iâve had before. Instead of the usual 2â or so, these were easily 2.5 â 3â. This makes it a little difficult to fit in anything but the biggest mouths (and thatâs probably not something to be proud of). The fish quality was quite good, everything fresh, and presentation was up to standard snuff. Itâs not the best place Iâve ever been to, but itâs a couple notches above the conveyor belt stuff. Recommended.
I am not a big fan of sushi outside of Japan as the fare served there has spoiled me. I am also not a big fan of most mall food. But in this case, we had decided to get lunch in the mall and I was intrigued by this little sushi stand just outside the food court.I ordered a Combo A which was a maki roll with an add-on of 2 pieces each of two kinds of sushi or sashimi. I had the spicy crabmeat roll with a two pieces of salmon and tuna sushi. It was all delicious and the portion was just right. I particularly enjoyed the crabmeat maki roll as it was quite flavorful. The service was good and the price was rather reasonable. My combo was $9.99. In my mind, this was a very good bargain.Overall, if you like sushi, it's worth giving this place a try. I was certainly prejudiced against having sushi at a place like this but this spot did away with my trepidation. The food was very good and the prices were more than reasonable.
