I was in Cochabamba for a week with a large group, and kept hearing about a great coffee place down the street from our hotel - Hotel Diplomat. I'm an early riser, so I walked to the coffee shop at 6AM.....closed. Then, I headed back at 7AM.....closed. However, this quaint little joint, Goss, was open. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised to see #1 - they were open and #2 - they served coffee. I kept it simple and ordered a cappuccino. It was made quickly and was absolutely delicious. Best drink I had in my week visit to Bolivia. Next day, I went to the coffee place that was recommended - big mistake. The menu was twice as big with coffee drinks, and I ordered the last coffee I will ever order from that place. I stuck with Goss and was pleasantly surprised by the coffee and diverse menu. I did not try the sushi. Although, i would have. I just don't ever get brave about raw food when traveling outside the US.....very tempting though! It's probably excellent, as I'm kicking myself for not trying it. I did order some french toast that was delicious. If only I had more time, I would have eaten there more often.I brought some fellow travelers back to this place, and they all agreed it was better than the one that was recommended. Great place, cool vibe and very friendly staff. The outdoor seating is nice, too. I'll come back next visit to Cochabamba.

The best restaurant in cochabamba for sushi, sashimi and sake
We went to the restaurant looking for something different in Cochabamba. It was a Wednesday night about 8:00 and we were the only table. One of the other couple was a local and had been before. We all are equipped with Spanish, and we all struggled with the menu. None of us could find tuna on the menu, because there was none. We were told "only Friday and Saturday". There were 2 for 1 items, some of which we ordered, and as a result, we had more than enough to eat. The sushi was "okay" and the service was very good.

The sushi was amazing but the 10 hrs cooked pork was insane. I cannot stop thinking about eating the pork again. I was no planning to come here but Iâm so happy I did. Highly recommend the place
