At Sushi-Brito, we serve you Quick and Delicious meals using only the freshest high quality ingredients.
Went wandering for food. Stumbled across this little quaint gem serving great fresh food. Unassuming little place, clean, friendly service and good green tea... that won't break your bank. The salmon, prawns, chicken and kimchi noodles plus the squid balls tasted fabulous. Would definitely drop in again with my friends.
This is a very new cafe situated in the Bayan Baru area. The place, Elit Avenue is fast becoming a very popular place for diners as more and more eateries are springing up in this area.I decided to try this place out as a I love Japanese food as well. The atmosphere inside is very nice and cosy. We ordered three different types of ramen to try. my chashu ramen tasted really delicious in particular the soup base. The other two orders were for miso ramen and again it did not fail. The portions given were also really generous. For drinks, I went for the usual green tea. I must say I liked their green tea as the tea leaves were fully infused. This means I could taste what I am drinking. In many instances, this is not always the case. All in all, the total bill came up to be RM65.30 for 3 orders and green teas.
This resto is conveniently located near Bayan Lepas export zone. It's relaxing ambiance and good house tea compliments the Japanese dishes they offer. Sashimi are fresh, Soba dishes are light and delicious, their beef teriyaki was tender and flavorful.Prices are reasonable and their good a/c is perfect from the Penang heat outside. I'd like to stay longer but other Customers are waiting and giving me the stare.

During my recent visit to Penang, mum and I had our dinner at Kiyomi Japanese Restaurant. We ordered a mixed appetizers (3 types), an assortment of sashimi, deep fried oysters, salmon sushi and cawan mushi. All the food was pretty good, except that the tuna sashimi was frozen and tasteless.

Due to Easter celebration, I have search around most of Penang hotel (about 10+ hotel) but there only less than 5 having activities for Easter celebrations. Found that Lexus hotel having Easter celebration but under Umi Japanese restaurant, so we decided to go Lexus hotel (because never been there, knowing that they have room with own pool)One thing that hotel and restaurant should calibrate each other, when I call hotel to ask detail about the Easter celebration, the hotel stuff actually not aware about this event, saying that will check with their manager then only call me back. (Actually we almost change our destination because of this, by seeing the management not so organized, worry the restaurant also will be the same)When reach the hotel, there a lot of car park, no worry there have friendly guard shown you directions, there also have multistory car park. When go in the restaurant (just at the entrance right hand side), when come by their worker name âSaraâ, she very friendly and love by my kids, she choose a table that face to TV and change the channel to cartoon program already catch my kids hearts, but not only my kids, myself also feel that this is kind of great services that should learn by others (especially 4 star and above hotel, nowadays service become lousy and lousy). When go to seafood counter, the chief actually explain to me type of cooking method they can do for me, serve me with very tasty oyster (one type is fresh, one type is special cook by chief). Today also my daughter birthday, when ask for candle , they straight prepare a cake with nice wording decorate with birthday song send to my kids.Overall the food is fresh and nice, service is great!

Savour the best authentic Japanese cuisine with attentive service by kimono-clad waitresses. As a Sushi lover, choose your favourite seat at the Sushi Bar, watch the live performance of our resident Teppanyaki Chefs or savour a quiet moment in the intimac
One of my favourite Japanese restaurant is Kampachi at Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur. When I have the chance to try out Kampachi at Hotel Equatorial, Penang, I was excited. I ordered the Teppanyaki and rest of my colleagues either the Bento set or the Tempura set. The service is really bad as we have to call the waiter/waitress couple of times before they serve us tea. While everyone got their food within 30-40mins, I have to wait for nearly 90 mins for my food. When everyone finished their food, apparently mine was just cooking. The excuse was that teppanyaki take longer time to cook. What is so difficult to cook beef and salmon? The food is just average comparing to the long wait. Wont recommend unless you have nothing else to go.

A good friend of mine introduced me to this place last year. Initially, I was skeptical when walking up the stairs but once I stepped into the delightful place, I was impressed beyond words by the delightful cosy ambience. Since then, I have been to this restaurant three times.Last week, I went there at about tea time and was surprised to see the place was half full, even at non-peak time.Whereas in the past I used to order the vegan sushis, this time, I ordered three types of noodles - potato noodles, udon and ramen. All three dishes were served piping hot and quite tasty despite being vegan in composition. The comfy cosy decor is certainly conducive for great tete-a-tete.The service could be improved though. But then again, I patronised the place at non-peak time so that might account for lack of staff. To my surprise, I discovered that to date, Sushi Kitchen has already established five branches. This goes to prove their menus and concept are appealing and effective.Well done!

I really enjoyed eating here - good ambience, polite, attentive staff and fresh and delicious salmon. It offers a wide range of Japanese cuisine but I wanted salmon on my first visit. Love the dish I ordered and it was quite filling. I definitely will go back to Kaze again.

This has always been our favourite family restaurant when visiting Penang and one that we will recommend friends but no longer after today's experience. We order seafood fried rice for the 10 year old and salmon fried rice turned up. When we informed the waitress that we ordered salmon, she promptly apologised and returned it the kitchen. To our horror, the captain who took our order came back and started arguing with us that we ordered salmon and not seafood. She told us she repeated the order to us and we agree that it was correct. All we did was she showing off her Japanese skill and muttering our order back to us in Japanese and we repeated the order to her in English. She literally stood at our table for a whole minute to argue that we indeed order salmon and we repeated, "no, we ordered seafood". She left and to our uttermost horror, returned 5 minutes later and promptly told my sister "u ordered salmon, it was on my pad"... hello, we didnt write on your pad, u did. And, once again she stood at our table, while we are in the middle of our meal, repeating "u ordered salmon" and we had to stop eating and go "no, we ordered seafood". this went on and on for about 6 to 7 times until I got up from the table and asked her what is her problem and what does she want us to do. She said "u ordered salmon" and I replied, "what do you want us to do now?" and she "nothing, but u ordered salmon", I am not kidding you. So, i asked her now in a louder tone, why are u standing here arguing with us when we are trying to eat our meal. And she went "u ordered salmon" . The worst part to me was, the supervisor, a miss Paris and 2 other senior staff turned from the order counter to stare at the exchange between her staff and me like they were watching netlix and do nothing (the only thing missing was the popcorn). Now, i can understand why this woman has such an attitude as it seems to be encouraged by the senior staff. And, when we paid our meal, Miss Paris who collected our payment, offered no form of apology for the rudeness of her staff. I am not talking monetary value, we go there to eat and we expect to pay. But, when a staff is being rude to the customers in front of other customers, I would expect the senior member of the restaurant to intervene and also apologised. Also, note that this meal was for a 10 year old, it took them another half an hour to come up with his small bowl of rice - punish the hungry child for your staff's inadequecy.Needless to say, this will no longer be the place we go to anymore. And, if you decide to go, brush up your Japanese or your meal would be ruined.
