Let me save you the trouble of looking for the best Katsu in Japan, it's here at Tontei's. The pork is succulent and the coating is crispy - super yum!

This was an interesting experience. We ate horse meat, assorted 8 different parts! Spinal cord, the testicles, the esophagus etc! They were good. Home made Miso that came with the horse sashimi was wonderful. Smoked tongue was also good.In this restaurant ,they have many kind of SAKE made in Aizu Wakamatsu and near here. We should have tried 13 kinds sake set, but we couldn't find it on the menu until after we finished our dinner. That was truly unfortunate. We will try it next time. And a noteworthy fact is Japanese lacquer that ware called {'aizu-nuri'} plates. Appetizers were served in a lacquer bowl. They were beautiful.I think that you should make a reservation. Restaurant staffs are very kind. You can find this restaurant in Koriyama and Tokyo.

I'll say it again because its worth it - The pork cutlet blew my mind!! I was super hungry so I got the pork cutlet and the Raman and amazingly (even to myself ) I finished them both. The sauce the use on to of the cutlet is superbe!!! Such a deep rich flavoure and the little acid in the sauce helps cut the fat of the deep fried cutlet. The cutlet was thinner than I expected it would be but awesome and crispy and there was cabbage and rice under it. The Ramen was pretty standard soy sauce base but the noodles were cooked to perfection and all of the toppings were nicely arranged and super tasty especially the "chashu", pork belly that has been braised or slow roasted.

My recommended Wappa is Kani = crab and especially Baniku = Horse meet Wappa. As we know that is sound no good and western culture is amazing to eat horse meet, but, the taste are great! and "Miso supe" small plate of Delicious dishes-es are wonderful.the restaurant is Old-fashioned shop like that. When you visit Aizu area, should be come in!!

Thier pig cutlet rice bowls are really impressive and very popular among autobicycle tourists. Recently relocated to Aizu-mura campus.

Most Japanese folks like this type of mochi (rice cake) dishes: mochi cakes on a skewer grilled with several original pastes.
