It takes a few minutes to reach the village. You have to turn right from Dozza and take a narrow and old road up to the hill (1400-1500 mt). No problem on summer time, perhaps you can face some difficulties on winter. Anyway the place deserves a visit. Once you enter Al Pelmo, it seams to be in Trentino-South Tyrol. The professionalism of the staff makes you feel at home immediately. We were suggested an excellent stew of chamois, and also the red wine was pretty good. Better to book in advance.

This is a local bar/pizzeria/restaurant, we were happy on two occasions. We did not try the pizza, and possibly there are for this better choices in the vicinity. We had very good gnocchi either with mushrooms or with meat ragout. For the main course we followed the suggestion of the friendly waitress and had skewers of very tender and tasty meat taken from a veal belly. Never had it before, and we did not regret.

It was nearly nine years since I left a restaurant fully satisfied in this part of Italy. If something, Lumin was a surprise and help me to reconcile with the magnificent mountains which is surrounded by. Who knows whether it is the fireplace and the rural style of the decor or the the down to earth people hanging out at the bar. The result is that a warm, calm and friendly atmosphere wrap you up as long as you put a step over the doorway, and so it did to me and my friend the first night of the new year 2017. We were greeted with a drink and a quick chat with the old proprietor and then introduced to her daughter, the young cook who took over the place when her parents retired a few years ago.We felt home at first glance and it was an all night long leitmotiv. After the drink, we were accommodated in a large room finding a quiet table in the corner. As a starter we shared a savoury roasted tongue served with couliflower. Then we approached a mouthwatering goose stewed on a bed of seasonal veggies: it was that good that melted in mouth. Masterfully cooked, the meat was in brilliant pink ant its taste balanced to perfectly match the veggies and the glass of Lagrein red wine we were sipping. We finished off the dinner with a fantastic Bavarian cream seasoned with bergamot and a selection from a wide range of spirits. The service was friendly and informal, yet remained professional. At the end of the day, I wouldn't find a better way to start the new year.

The restaurant is cozy small, only 5 tables in the main dining area and a few more in the bar, so reservations are a good idea. The staff is excellent - helpful with making choices and speak fluent English. House wine (white) was great. Overall, it was a great value for the caliber of food served. Our selection was Canederli balls in soup (bread dumplings), barley risotto with speck (nice twist on risotto) and a vegetable struedel with blue cheese sauce. We wish we were in town longer as we would definitely return again.

Always good to be surprised by this restaurant's goodness. Staff is unbelievably kind. Food is truly delicious and beautifully presented (do photos get the idea across well enough?). To be among mountains, with a stunning view, fresh air, healthy meals and lovely company... I think it's priceless. Congratulations!

If you come by, absolutely try the panino ludro. It is the best twist on a normal hamburger I have ever tried. The place is usually crowded in the winter season, but it is worth the wait. Also, the beautiful terrace is great for enjoying a sunny winter day.

Great atmosphere, food to die for, excellent list of wines, top quality service in a typical Dolomites ambient. We warmly suggest it either for lunch or dinner. Definitely a "must try" location.
