Italian Style Subs, Panini, Salads, Soups, Pastries, Full Deli, Full Bakery and from what we have heard..."The Best of the Best of Youngstown!"
We stopped here for lunch after finding out that they had an outdoor patio that was dog friendly. My husband got a huge stuffed sandwich, with spicy sausage & homemade warm bread. It was unbelievably delicious. I got 2 slices of pizza that was very good. For dessert we each got a huge brownie that might have been the best dessert Iâve ever eaten. Prices are extremely reasonable & everyone was friendly. I only regret that we live 1500 miles away!!

Always eat there the last night we are in Austintown. We have enough leftover for two more meals. I am not the biggest fan of Italian food, but my wife is. However, I enjoy going back and am always happy with my meal.

I stopped here for a late-summer weekday evening meal while passing through the area (Thank you, TripAdvisor, for the ratings!!!). Overall, I thought this was a good meal. When I walked in, I thought the restaurant was very dark...I did ask for outside seating, and was able to get the one remaining table on the deck. Although the deck was right along the parking lot, it was outside, so that was great! My server was very friendly during my visit. The menu was Italian. I ended up with the tomato bisque soup, which was very good...and almost a meal to itself, with mini grilled cheese sandwiches in the soup! For my main dish, I ordered the chicken with crab meat on it; this was also a good dish. I enjoyed the meal, and most certainly wouldn't hesitate to come back.

If there is one thing I know, it's Youngstown does not have a shortage of authentic, local Italian restaurants. MVR is a landmark in Youngstown. You can find it on the edge of the Youngstown State University's campus. Inside you will find plenty of diners in Penguin's gear. The food is great. The prices??? Even better. You won't find many places you get a authentic pasta lunch with bread and salad for $7.

Walked in, greeted by a very rude semi elder woman "can i help you?" with an attitude, i almost answered maybe here to eat since its a restaurant? Then she barked "Is there a table for two anywhere?" when i could clearly see many tables open. Seemed like the owners mother or something. Food was very expensive and portions were small. I got the Veal Sorrentino, which was nothing like the description, it was basically just eggplant parm on top of veal parm with a splot of spaghetti. My s/o got the scallops with greens, portion was so small he left very hungry literally 2 tablespoons of greens, like they cant afford to throw a bed of cheap greens down on the plate. Not worth the money, and as of recently they got in trouble for not paying taxes as well. Go to the MVR instead, much better service and portion sizes.

Came here for our anniversary. Beautiful atmosphere. Lamp lollipops were excellent, however, we were disappointed in our main course. I ordered the baseball sirloin. The meat was tough and dry. My green beans had no flavor whatsoever, neither did my steak. My husband had the cherry medallions. Although they were tender, his lacked flavor as well. Mashed potatoes and the cherry sauce was great. But would have liked to have at least 3 medallions for what we paid for the entree. Would have loved my steak to be as well seasoned as the lamp lollipops. For what we paid for our dinner, it did not meet my expectations. The service, however, was excellent!

Visited for the first time with another couple on a busy Saturday night. We all absolutely loved our dinners and we didn't even order Italian. Two of us had the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and a sherry with Portobello mushrooms gravy accompanied by asparagus. It was superb. The other two had the Salmon and were equally pleased. I look forward to returning again soon and we are a couple that eat out quite often.

We absolutely love the Elmton pizza. The crust the cheese and the sauce yum. Tuesday the have a pizza special we usually try to go that night. Everything we have eaten there is delicious. Hubby loves the chicken I love the pasta. Only thing we like but donât get often because sometimes they are soggy instead of crispy is the hot chips. The French onion dip they give you with them is so amazing. If you havenât been to the Elmton you need to make a trip soon.

In 1967, Pasquate âPatsyâ Acconcia operated a pizza shop in Youngstown. When he decided to make the move to the present Austintown location he took on a partner, Fernando Riccioni. For the next 20 years Fernando and Patsy worked daily to develop the recip
We went to this pizza place owned by a 93 year old Italian gentleman named Fernando on Sunday. I ordered the Original but my other friends ordered different ones. You would not believe how many choices you have. All the people who work there are so friendly. The prices are very reasonable and even though I live 45 minutes away, I will be back! Cash only though there is an ATM to use if needed!

Restaurant was recommended by our nearby hotel desk attendant. Read some reviews and walked over. You just dont expect in Youngtown, Ohio to find such an excellent seafood main dish.....but the shrimp scampi on the surf and the turf was one of the best main dishes I have ever eaten anywhere in the world.and I am not a shrimp fan! Food heaven!!! Tender moist juicy shrimp in a garlic butter or cream sauce.....delicious. It was accompanied by tenderloin beef medallions in a red wine sauce with mushroom caps. Add the tasty garlic mashed potatoes. Great meal!!! Wish I wasn't just passing by on I-80. Next trip through, I will be back!!
