Tarry Lodge is Italian style, with subtle yet distinct tributes to New Haven. A black and white oyster tile floor is punctuated by a custom inlayed mosaic and bronze bulldog statue. Tarry Lodge offers an impressive wine list and menu that includes house-m
Pizzas are well made, the special salad of the day is a nice appetizer (yet it has a bit too much dressing), the branzino is charcoal dark all over but managed to remain soft enough inside, the chocolate cake is creamy and heavy (some people look for that). The place is noisy, very noisy !The staff is nice and efficient. The bill is overpriced.

My daughter lives in Madison Wisconsin, and she misses East Coast pizza. Its just not the same anywhere else. I found out that Zuppardis can ship 6 ten inch frozen pies in dry ice. 2 day fed ex. It came in perfect condition. Her friends loved it, and best part is that it arrived on her birthday. We will definitely do this again! Also i talked to one of the owners, Laurie, and she was a pleasure to work with.

Ordered takeout pizza - very tasty cooked just right. Nice location - parking on street and in a municipal lot nearby. Picked up a menu and takeout form and looks like they have a good variety of Italian dishes. Will be back

Truly canât say enough about how much we enjoyed this experience. I had hear about New Haven pizza but thought, yea ok whatever. I was wrong, we went twice in 2 days, Itâs the crust, wet slightly in center but crisp and chewy at same time. And simple crushed tomatoes for sauce. Service was excellent both times, thx Fran. Canât wait to go back!

I went there with my wife and some friends for dinner. Our group was 5 people. We all had different dishes. My dinner was clams and pasta. I have clams often, but this dinner was different. The clams were smaller then I usually get, but there were lots of them and plenty of pasta. But It was extremely tasty and very large. There was enough for a full dinner at home the next day.
Biggest surprise was the huge attractive bar they added in the front room, and partitioning of the previous open space into more intimate private dining areas. While the menu is similar to the best of what it was, there are some minor changes..... stepping up the dining experience by a few notches. Probably most appreciated by us was that Chris, arguably the familyâs best chef and restaurateur, has reimagined the vegetables, grilling them and saving a ton of extra calories. Actually, everything prepared seemed a bit more health conscious, without any loss of flavor or texture. Bread was fabulous. We split a Caesar salad. We ordered the Salmon al Forno and The Tony, which is the 12 ounce grilled New York Strip with gorgonzola. It may be the best steak they have ever served. Personally, I still appreciate that you can buy a bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Welcome back to Woodbridge! Weâll definitely see you again.

Simple but delicious! Great for big groups and families. Loved the Salad with caramelized pecans and bleu small and large both portion to share.Pick your pizza topping... pepperoni had a nice spice Great beer selection and bartender was able to give you suggestions. Cocktail selection looked great but went for IPA

After a decade I finally returned, next time I will not wait as long. This pizza was absolutely delicious. Delicious sauce and cheese just enough on a thin to medium crust that was on the verge of chewy and crunchy. At one point I actually thought the crust might've been even better than the sauce and cheese part, now that's saying something. Lots of dining space here thought you might have a problem when it's crowded. Go before six and beat the crowd. Clean place, decent service and you get what you pay for, that delicious pie!!

â¦. and the pizza tastes better. Not to say there is cause and effect here, but something has changed, marginally, since a year ago. I did ask that our pie be cooked on the 'light' side (receiving push-back from the server) not wanting it to get charred and burned in the oven, and it was cooked perfect for us, but then it sat on the counter.... cooling.... and by the time it was brought to the table, it was not hot anymore and by the time we had eaten half, the cheese was reconstituting into a soft white plastic. If they fix the cheese and improve service (the gal that took care of us... could not care less), Grimaldiâs of Woodbridge can move up a notch.

Ernie's has been our family's favorite pizza place for many many years. It is easily as good as the more famous New Haven pizza restaurants and much easier to get into. They are nowhere as well known as they should be but maybe that is ok for our family since they do not have a line out the door.
