We enjoyed our visit to Leonardos whose Sunday menu at 2 courses for under £15 is very good value. Children dine for an incredible £5 for their meal. The food is good home cooked fayre with a wide range of starters and mains. The mussels looked good and the mushrooms tasted fine. The soup was also piping hot and served with nice crusty bread. Bruschetta as expected.Wine prices were good and water was served upon request. Our main dishes were also tasty. Cannelloni with spinach and Riccotta. Chicken Diane. Pasta pomodoro. Generous servings of Parmesan and fresh pepper. We were too satisfied for desserts but enjoyed fine black coffee with complimentary biscuit. A mint accompanied the very reasonable bill. Our only gripe was the speed with which we were ushered through. Our daughters soup was offered to be removed long before she had finished eating it! Good service is one thing but this was just too rushed. The welcome at the reception desk could also have been a bit warmer.

Unfortunately a large table of very rowdy people celebrating a birthday put us off from the start. No-one made any effort to calm them down. The lunch menu was okay but not enough to entice us back. Portions were very small. No vegetables with the meals - simply burger and frozen chips with a small slice of tomato and half a lettuce leaf on the burger. Children's meals very expensive and again frozen fries and no veg.I don't think I'd risk the a la Carte menu. Such a shame when it is a lovely place and very nice waitress.I am disappointed to read this review . The table next to you was a â70thâ birthday and a close family chatting away on a quiet afternoon ... there was certainly nothing to âcalm down â and your extremely rude way of asking to move table was dealt with immediately with no more said. Our our extremely well priced menu is made up of nothing more than fresh ingredients with you dining on a 2 course for less than £14.00. We have NEVER had an issue with value for money on this menu and each dish comes with rice , fries , veg etc .. if you wished something else you could have ordered extra sides . Our Burgers are vary rarely finished due to the size of the portion and have been so popular that they have carried through 3 menu changes , Iâm sorry it wasnât to your liking .Finally our Childrenâs menu is 2 courses for £8.00.. a full bowl of Homemade Minestrone followed by Homemade Fresh Haddock Goujons!!!!!Our A la Carte menu is outstanding with the restaurant being booked 2 weeks in advance at the Weekends due to its variety of fantastic fresh produce inc fish and shellfish , itâs a shame you wonât be risking it ....

Fabulous Tuesday Treat, staff very welcoming & friendly throughout. We opted for a Hawaiian pizza & an Il Capriccio pizza - both freshly stretched pizza dough, ample toppings & just right amount of cheese to sauce. 2 optional sides, wonderful crispy fries & an insalata mista, washed down with 2 glasses of wine & change out of £30.00Thereâs a deal if there was one..

What a find in this little town - lovely friendly and attentive service by the young woman front of house; super smooth glass of house red (a fruity Merlot); and great fresh food. Glorious plump mussels weâre on the 2-course lunch special with either white wine or tomato sauce & a slice of garlic bread. The creamy spinach & ricotta cannelloni was a treat. Large portion topped off with fresh basil. If youâre in Hamilton this place would be great for lunch or dinner.

Family run restaurant established for 17 years traditional food including seafood and grill and new innovative dishes
My wife and I were headed back to Lanark and as usual we were a bit lost. We decided to stop at the next place we came across and to our fortune it turned out to be Prego. We were seated right away and our drinks were ordered and delivered. Dinner for me was chicken and spaghetti and she had tortellini. Both were delicious and made to order. For dessert she had amaretto, ice cream and espresso and I had the best sticky pudding I have ever had. The food to value ratio was very good and service was attentive. I would recommend this place.

Dolce Vita across from The Stag Hotel/Lounge Bar/Disco was the favourite ristorante of my late wife and myself. Used to enjoy the £3 businessman's lunches there. Minestrone soup made only as mama can, pizza calzone or lasagne, and then a desert. And wee Guiseppe singing in the kitchen. Fond memories indeed, Nice to see that the legacy has lived on and fulfilled the promise. Great Tally takeaway.

Went Sunday lunchtime without a reservation...surroundings a bit bleak and shuttered then, but inside small smart restaurant, almost full, with welcoming and attentive staff. Large menu including dishes of the day, and extensive 2 course set menu for £16 something. Our party of 4 had very good minestrone, lasagne( âexcellentâ), rigatoni, pork dish of the day( pork bit tough to cut but ok to eat with lots of sauce and separate pots/veg), a vegan veg stew and chips...generous Parmesan offerings, bread and butter etc. Small car park opposite. Would recommend.
