Welcome to Valle Cucina, Delaware's best kept secret for thirty years! Our name suggests Italian, and it is the best around, but we are also known for our seven time "Best of Delaware" award winning 100% jumbo lump crab cakes, seafood dishes and the area'
Food was okay; cheese pizza was good. Lobster mac and cheese seemed reheated and the salads were a good size but lacked dressing and variety. Ravioli's were sloppy and bland. The most memorable experience at Valle was the obnoxious owner. It was a Friday night during lent and we had a table of 8. It was crowded and the place is small. However, we had a bill of over a hundred dollars so I think we could have been treated better. It took 20 minutes to get our drink orders; 2 wines and 6 waters. It took 35 minutes to get 1 appetizer and bread and 50 minutes to get our meal. As soon as our meal was served, the owner began hawking our table obviously looking for us to leave. It was rude. The waitress was nice but the rude owner, slow service and so-so food doesn't warrant a return visit.

A great dinner at a well established family operated Italian upscale eatery!Chicken Parmesan, Veal Picatta, Spicy Chicken and Sausage, and Flounder Vincente were the entrees' chosen and all were thoroughly enjoyed. The Table Side prepared Ceasers salad was excellent, with it flavorful dressing that is light in texture but not in taste and shared by all at the table. Service (provided by Jenna) was excellent. Nice wine list to choose from and drinks from the bar were well made. Galiano cake and the chocolate peanut butter ball were the desserts and they also were excellent. Nice job by all!

Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and
There is a reason they were a James Beard semifinalist. We went for our middle daughters bday. We ordered Sunflower Hummus, Artisanal Cheese, Crispy Chicken Wings, Pork Belly, Gnocchi, and Nonna's Meatballs for the table (6 of us, to include the bday girl's boyfriend). Additional plates included Bucatini, Margherita Pizza, Upside Down Pizza, and Truffle Pizza. Dessert included Cheesecake, Gelato, and Tiramisu. I cannot single out one thing. EVERYTHING was incredible, to include our server, Katie. They even take a polaroid picture (for you to have) of your group, when there is a special occasion. We will absolutely return.

NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH IN NOV & DEC. "Setting the standard in New Castle County for casual, fine dining with flair, V&M Bistro is Delaware's favorite new Italian restaurant. Inside, the chic atmosphere is equal to any New York or Los Angeles hot spot. So, sta
It's a small nice neighborhood restaurant but going through an identity crisis. They couldn't decide if it should be a sports bar, a romantic restaurant, or a diner. Inspite of the design flaws it is still acceptable. I was seated immediately by a nice gentleman. A waitress took my order. My order arrived promptly but I didn't have any utensils which another waitress noticed and brought me a serving after a while. The Ceaser salad was excellent. The pizza was good but the sauce was watery so it was almost clear and made the pizza soggy. The dough was OK but because of the type of the yeast they use and lack of a good sauce as a base it was rather dull. It needed salt to have some taste. Nevertheless they have still one of the best pizzas in the area after Tutto Fresco has been closed. There were too many wait staff but the service was OK at its best. There was no bar tender so my waitress was doing that as well. Bartending requires more than just serving a drink or two when you are available. Bar is where they make money so I am not sure why they would leave it to a waitress. Limited wine list also needs attention. The restaurant has clearly a lot of potential but needs a good FOH Manager. In stead of Ulysses across the street, I would still go to V&M.

My husband has been wanting to try this cafe for pizza. Went tonight. Needed to wait about 20 minutes. Very small cafe, looks like 10 booths/tables. Waited on immediately. Great pace and service. All the wait staff work together as a team to take care of customers. Had pizza and salad. Other meals looked really good too. Would recommend and return.

Ordered 2 pizzas, wings and salad at 5:45 on Saturday night and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Had I seen how busy the interior of the restaurant was, I would have scoffed in disbelief. When I arrived shortly after 6pm, every table was full and there had to be 20-30 people waiting for tables. I went up to take out and to my surprise it was ready and waiting for me. Wouldnât hesitate to order again and would suggest takeout as a viable option even in the busiest of times.

Traveling to visit Winterthur near Wilmington DE. Stopped for a quick lunch and discovered a fantastic restaurant stuck in the back of a strip mall. Many varieties of pizza are ready if you want a quick slice, but after seeing the meals being prepared we opted for a full meal. Calamari was incredibly tasty. The sausage, onion, and roasted peppers was absolutely amazing. The penne arabbiata was phenomenal. Huge portions. Friendly staff. I will drive the 3 hours again just to eat here. By the way. Beyond a doubt the very best gravy, including my own mother's (forgive me ma!)
