We visited this restaurant that has recently opened in Rayleigh High Street. They were buzzing and virtually fully booked but managed to get us a table on the day.Lunch time was also busy. Nice menu with 2 courses for £13.95 and 3 courses for about £18.95.I opted for the garlic bread with caramelised onion, delicious and the size of a small pizza ! My partner chose from the Main menu and had prawns that he said were lovely. He chose the fillet steak that was cooked to perfection. My chicken salad with pesto dressing was also very good. The staff were friendly. We did wait a while to get a first drink but they were very busy. It is quite noisy but a good atmosphere. There are tables upstairs also but I didnât get to see them. I would recommend this restaurant and wish them good luck.

A family run business in the heart of Billericay, serving only fresh produce cooked to order.
We had a lovely experience at La Toscana with a group of friends in April and just the wife and I went back again last week for a quiet/quick lunch.Totally enjoyable - great atmosphere, and very tasty and enjoyable food. Attractive menu choices both the set menu and a la carte. One of the best restaurants in and around ~ Billericay in our view.

Based in the heart of East Hanningfield, close to Chelmsford in Essex, Vita Bella Italian Restaurant aims to provide guests with authentic Italian food within a friendly and inviting atmosphere. With a range of Italian dishes to choose from, from our arra
We went to Vita Bella for a birthday celebration and had a lovely evening. The food is great and the service is great too. We all decided to eat off the Sunday lunch menu and had 3 courses. I had the pork belly which was nice and not too fatty, the portion was really big though and I couldn't eat all of it. To top it off the Bailey's cheesecake and brownie were both delicious. Wine isn't too expensive either and there are a lot of wines to chose from as well as some Prosecco based cocktails including Aperol Spritz which is my favourite. The people that work here are really nice and the service was generally great, although our empty wine glasses were not always being refilled. I have noticed that this restaurant is currently the best in Essex on tripadvisor, although I would disagree with this because I felt that I have eaten nicer meals at other restaurants in Chelmsford and Essex, but that is just my personal opinion. A nice added extra was the cake they bought out for my mum as it was her birthday and as well as this they offered us a drink on the house at the end of our meal which was appreciated!Dear KevinVickyHolly, Thank you for your visit. Iâm glad you enjoyed the food and all the perks that come with visiting Vita Bella! Sorry to hear you donât agree with 1964 customer reviews (so far) - they must be wrong! We donât ask for reviews and donât offer incentives for them either, itâs illegal and morally wrong :)There are great restaurants in Chelmsford indeed so please do visit them. Regards

Our menu includes a wide range of stone-baked pizzas, authentic Italian pastas and risottos, a selection of grill dishes and fresh salads, all served in a warm and family friendly environment.
After checking into our hotel we went to this place for late lunch. We had read the good reviews so we thought weâd give it a try. We werenât disappointed. We received a friendly welcome and attentive service. We had two aperol spritz cocktails whilst looking at the menu. We ordered two mains of penne with nduja sausage which we both agreed was delicious. This was one of the best pasta dishes we had eaten. We had a good bottle of merlot red wine too. We finished our meals with expressos and limoncello. We really enjoyed our experience at this lovely Italian restaurant.

Marco and the team at La Romantica welcomes you to Rayleighâs oldest independent serving Italian restaurant. Established in 1969, this family run business has built its reputation with the motto â Let Our Family Look After Yoursâ and has always enjoyed 5-
Had a meal here on Friday night which was the Rod Stewart/Tina Turner tribute night. Was not impressed as our table was directly covering most of the walk way which I am sure is a Health and Safety issue!! Was constantly being bashed about by waiters and people trying to get to the toilet. The tribute acts themselves were brilliant, however, this place is far too small for this plus you are not told by staff that you will be put on video and used on their Facebook page. None of our table was impressed by our food and all in all, it made for an expensive night with service charge being added by the restaurant. Have tried a few times now and sorry to say, but will not be back

Having many times driven past this former Pub, which then became an Indian and then back to a pub and now a Pub/Italian, I decided to take my partner there on a Thursday evening to sample the 2 for 1 menu. We were shown to the back room, which to be honest is nicely set out, that is the only good thing I can find to say. I had Calamari to start, there were 5 small pieces, all were cold. My partner had mussels, which, although not stated on the menu, were swimming in tomato sauce, she left them. I then had the beef lasagne, which was OK, my partner ordered carbonara, she ate 25% of it, the rest was sunk below a full bowl of cream, she left it. The staff did offer to change it for something else but by then the damage had been done. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" on this occasion we got less than our monies worth. I now know why the car park is empty on 5 nights of the weekHi paullucas2015,We welcome all feedback and take it very seriously. We are also very proud of our numerous recent 5* reviews.Lots of which feature our Early Bird Menu.We do not have a 2 for 1 menu or a 50% off offer. This is the description of our mussels dish: Fresh Mussels, Served with warm toasted bread and a delicious garlic and tomato sauce. As you can see it clearly states it is served in a tomato sauce. We feel that approximately 5 pieces of Calamari is appropriate as a starter portion and we are always commended on our ample portion sizes. We apologise that you felt it was not enough for you, we will look at the dish when it is served and thanks for bringing it to our attention. We have not had any other complaints about the size of this dish. We are always looking to improve and take a fresh look at things, so we will look again. We are very pleased you found our venue pleasant and that you enjoyed your lasagne. We are not empty 5 days a week, we are not sure why you write this?Anyway, thanks for your comments.Best wishesBeauvoir Arms Staff

Given our wide range of dietary requirements required by our party of 10, I was very happy for the options available on the menu, except for the dessert which didn't cater for these requirements. The staff were very accommodating and the taste and quality of the food were good. Would return if I was in the area again.
