Kids ordered baby pizzas but got full sized which was a bonus! Proper pizza with thick, hand-pulled dough. It is very popular looking around the inn but there are plenty of other options if that's not your thing. The chicken and mushroom pie i had was delicious. The white wine sauce was a little runny and the chicken was the tiniest bit dry but otherwise full marks.

Estro is a new, independent restaurant devoted to exceptional food. Based in Royal Tunbridge Wells, we are bringing a unique menu showcasing classic and modern dishes, with our own twist. We are an experienced team from multi-award-winning backgrounds.
I invited my mum for a lunch to celebrate her birthday. Her and I enjoyed everything, starting from homemade arancini to Capriciosa pizza, which in our opinion- the best choice we could have made! Would recommend aperol spritzer as well!Lovely staff, very efficient and smiley. âºï¸Thank you!

I took my nephew for a quick lunchtime bowl of pasta at Carluccioâs. The pasta was delicious as always (the langoustine and mussel fettucce is sublime!).Sadly (even though we were only there for less than half an hour) the lunch was ruined by a particularly unpleasant female waitress.Firstly we had ordered some focaccia. When it arrived we noticed there was no olive oil on our table (all tables have a bottle). I asked politely if we could have a bottle. Without saying a work the waitress turned round and grabbed a bottle from the table behind us and banged it down in front of me.Secondly on departure I tried to attract her attention to ask for the bill (giving the universal hand gesture for bill asking). The waitress was standing talking to two other waiters, looked straight at me, gave me a filthy look and continued to her conversation with the other staff!! Having worked in many establishments in both Brighton and London I can honestly say that it only takes one member of staff like this to bring down the atmosphere of and entire restaurant. I should also mention the the restaurant was about a quarter full, so not exactly rushed off their feet.Hi Brightonchef666, We appreciate your honest review. We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again.Kind regards Justyna Baranska-PringGeneral Manager

We are a family run, Italian delicatessen, located in Chapel Place, Tunbridge Wells. We offer great coffee, appreciated by the discerning coffee drinker as well as authentic food reflecting the true taste of Italy.
Making our way up from the Pantiles to the top of the town, we decided to grab a quick coffee here.Well, we didn't! My wife (once married to an Italian) saw the quality of the lasagne and insisted that we had lunch straight away!Delicious. Really good.We washed the food down with two very acceptable glasses of house red ----that's two glasses each mind you!Service was spot on. Friendly and helpful. The manager/owner even translated an email from Venice for me to read. Will we return? Yes!

Gusta Ltd is an authentic Italian delicatessen cafe and wine bar, in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The staff are passionate about selecting and importing only the finest regional artisan meats, cheeses, pasta, wines and coffee, most of which are exclusively sold
We popped in mid shopping for a bit of a re fuel and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee and the lovely Citrus cake on offer and very authentic Italian Tapas Board .All reasonably priced. We shall return as refreshing to experience a nice independent cafe rather than a chain.Turn left out the back of Next and you are there in a few paces worth the small detour away from the food court in the shopping centre

Another example of falling for vastly overrating reviews, also on tripadvisor.Because of these reviews we had great expectations when dropping impromptu into this tiny place with tiny tables and bad air. This place is run by a husband and wife team. The husband, a heavy smoker, prepares formulaic pasta dishes, most of the swimming in a cherry tomato and garlic sauce. Our Spaghetti Carbonara were drowned in too much oil. The fish of the day clearly came from the freezer of was as tough as cardboard. What a waste of an evening! Learning from experience helps others. The bill was way to high for what we got. Be forewarned!

Authentic, family-run Italian Restaurant, serving traditional Southern Italian recipes and welcome. Using the freshest ingredients to create many dishes to keep following the Mediterranean Diet.
Il Vesuvius is one of my favourite places to eat. You are treated like a long lost friend when you arrive, the service is attentive and friendly and the food!! Try the Pollo alla crema di funghi - absolutely wonderful! The food is always exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. No better way to spend an evening with friends or family!

Tunbridge Wells has a number of restaurants, but we have often found it difficult to consistently get decent food at a reasonable price. Each time we've been to Don G, we've left with a feeling of satisfaction. The last time we visited, it was quiet, (thus echoing some of the other reviews here), but service, food and wine were all good. There were 4 of us, and all enjoyed our choices, which were selected across the menu range.
