Neapolitan-style pizza, which means âthe-real-thingâ. Perfectly done and delicious. The only ânegativeâ thing about this place is that itâs just outside (really, a matter of steps away) Visbyâs main square, so you almost feel that you are missing that special mood just by a little, but itâs not the restaurantâs fault. The view of the ruins is still impressive, at least if you sit outside. I havenât tried them all, but, thinking of Swedish standards, Iâd be surprised if this were not the best pizza-place in Visby.

We've been visiting Isola Bella (and it's other location by the sea in Snäck and now also in Gnisvard) for many years. The food is consistently delicious. And the staff, along with the owner who is always present, are friendly and unflappable, even when the place is fully booked and every table occupied. The location in the center of Visby is charming. And the interior exposed ancient brick walls, along with the open kitchen, only adds to the charm. In summertime outdoor dining is possible too.

Our restaurant is located in the heart of Visby. We have two dining areas, wine cellar, Chambre Separee and a large terrace with a bar in the summer. Here you can indulge in traditional Italian cousine made from local produce with our own special touch. W

The food is average. The variety is average. But the local color -- outstanding. People are friendly .. not really designed for tourists, so enjoy the local flavor. Look out over the water and the harbor. Sit outside, sip your drink slowly, talk to the locals. You'll enjoy your time.

This restaurant had an amazing view and great pizza. However, the first time I visited just for drinks the waiter took the bottle before I had finisihed it (less than half but pretending to check the bottle afterwards and then still just taking it is bad taste). The female waitress we had on the next visit was more attentive but forgot to come back with our receipt. This restaurant has potential but management really should invest in training staff on basic aspects of the job.
