Ventura, officially the City of San Buenaventura, is the county seat of Ventura County, California, United States. European explorers encountered a Chumash village, referred to as Shisholop, in Ventura while traveling along the Pacific coast. The eponymous Mission San Buenaventura was founded nearby in 1782 where it benefitted from the water of the Ventura River. The town grew around the mission compound and incorporated in 1866. The development of nearby oil fields in the 1920s and the age of automobile travel created a major real estate boom during which many designated landmark buildings were constructed. The mission and these buildings are at the center of a downtown that has become a cultural, retail, and residential district and visitor destination.

We are a Family Style Italian Restaurant that has been serving our homemade recipes for 48 years. We are a small restaurant with a big heart. Our customers become like family. Our Chefs have been with for over 30 years. Over half our staff are family memb
Yep, it's been there forever and there are lots of great reviews but I'd counsel going elsewhere (even Olive Garden). The place is stuck in the 60s: oversalted soups, mediocre garlic toast, heavy-handed sauces, and tired menu. Great service and decent ambiance but overpriced considering the low quality.

My family and I stopped for a night in Ventura on our final evening of our road trip. We all really wanted pizza. We saw Tony's earlier as we drove into town and I looked up the reviews and it sounded like a solid place. I chose to do an online order since the wait time was about 45 minutes. We got there a few minutes early and it was ready for pick-up. Getting back to the room we started to dive in and the pizza was clearly overcooked and a bit overly crisp. Felt like we were eating pizza flavored chips. The staff seemed to be a bunch of younger high school/college aged men, so I'd say we just came at a time that there were different "chefs" preparing the food versus those that had excellent things to say about their food. For the price i was expecting a little more in terms of quality, but clearly we were paying for the ambiance. It is a cute little stand close to the beach for a quick slice, but as a whole dinner it just didn't fly with the fam.

We create everything fresh at Meridians & we've got something for everyone: Hand-tossed Pizza, Super Subs, Sexy Salads & loads of made-to-order hot Pasta.
Very small eatery located in Von's shopping center. Our order was a meat lovers pizza and a Cesar salad. Both were very good and service was prompt. The staff was friendly staff. Pizza was generous in both size and toppings. Pasta entrees looked good and I'll try one next time.

The service was just OK. The owner schmoozed friends/regulars - and that was were the authentic Italian atmosphere ended. The bread oily. The extra large portions of very mediocre food, a waste. Although I noticed most people left with doggie bags, I hope theyâre not feeding it to their pets. Honestly, you get better tasting food from the freezer, box or a can. Iâm not a cook, but neither is Capriccioâs chef.

My husband and I were very happy with the selections we made. The food was delicious. Our waitress Elena couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful. This is a restaurant we will definitely visit again and take other family members too.

We went to Cafe Fiore on Saturday Evening--- While we were disappointed that they were somehow out of Pizza--- the lasagne that we had instead was really good and the bread was soft and delicious and served with a nice spicy sauce. There was music and it was fantastic. People were singing along and the dance floor was busy with people (including us) enjoying every minute. The Band- Urban Dread - played everything from R & B to Pop and even a bit of Reggae-- people were even looking in through the windows from the street. Can't wait to go see them again and have some great food and drinks-(the pineapple basil drop was extraordinary) and yummy food!
