Canada's largest metropolis, Vancouver is a city of varied landscapes and diverse population. Its mix of the scenic and urban mean that weekenders can spend the morning taking advantage of its beaches, ski mountains, and hiking trails, only to kick back in the evening at first-rate restaurants and wine bars among a labyrinth of skyscrapers. As friendly and welcoming as it is ethnically diverse, the streets are crowded with different languages being spoken everywhere, and the city's sights, sounds, and flavors are a hodgepodge of warm multiculturalism. It is a haven both for the urbanite and the sportsman, offering all the sophistication of a modern city center, with a strong focus on the arts and a burgeoning cafe culture, but with charming suburban outlets and easy outdoor day trips. Though the city is often split into three districts, Vancouver and its surrounding environs feature multiple neighbourhoods, each with their own character and draw, in one massive conglomeration. Take your time and explore as many of them as possible.

Nicli Antica Pizzeria is the first VPN certified Neapolitan pizzeria in Vancouver. Located in the culinary epicentre of Vancouver, Gastown, the brick walls of the century old building are juxtaposed against the design of a bright and contemporary interior
Having been on my try list for ages I was pleased when a group evening was arranged for this restaurant.Getting out of the bus on Hastings at Carrol was an experience, but around the corner the restaurant was very nice and modern. Impressive pizza oven with wood logs.Nice meatball starter and bread with oil. The pizza looked great, although a bit light on topping. However it came with scissors to âsliceâ it up. A novel approach, but I soon realized why. The pizza was soft and floppy instead of my usual wish to see a semi crispy thin crust. Iâve never seen a pizza like this before and assume that it must be a Naples thing, as in Puglia, or Florence or Rome they werenât like that. So, great service, nice atmosphere, but not my kind of pizza.Thank you so much for your review. All feedback is important to us and I would be happy to talk with you in person to discuss your experience. A winding stone stairway leads upward from bustling Robson Street, where CinCin continues to define modern sophistication and inspired Italian cuisine. With acclaimed Chef Andrew Richardson at the helm, the menu at CinCin represents the clean and plentifu
Our hotel concierge made our reservations. We wanted a walkable place and craved Italian. CinCin is on the second floor right on Robson Street. As you walk up the stairs we were greeted by two very friendly and lovely hostesses. We requested a table on the patio (see the picture in the listing) and were seated at a lovely 2-top overlooking the bustling street. The food was amazing! I had a burrata/tomato salad and my husband had a grilled beet salad. We followed these with pasta with bolognese sauce and pork chops all of which were delicious. The service was exceptional (our server's name we forget but he was a young Asian American). We would highly recommend this place!Hi kkovach!Delighted to hear about your wonderful experience. I think I know who took care of you, and will be sure to pass along your comments. Most sincerely, Richard LuxtonRestaurant DirectorCinCin

No reservation and god food =long wait, but well worth it. The pizza dough is good and generally in the top quartile of wood oven pizzas. The burrata with prosciutto and a very expensive plate of amazing tomatoes what stood up fo me. Good service, expensive beers

What a hidden treasure. Such great ambience, authentic Italian food and awesome service. Our friend had pre-ordered all the appetizers and the main course and everything was top notch. The waitress made sure that the appetizers were being brought 2 at a time, not all together, which gave us a chance to really relish them as well as chat away. The personal touch of the Owner Cam coming by to say a Hello and then offering us Sambuca on the house was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be going back to this restaurant, hopefully real soon

I travel to Vancouver often for business and finally had an open evening to try Kissa Tanto. The wait did not disappoint. The restaurant is located in the not-so-nice part of Chinatown populated with the homeless and drug addicts. The juxtaposition of a beautifully designed restaurant in this neighborhood is quite a contrast. The menu is a fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisines and as a result some of the menu is quite creative altough I found the best of my meal was the creamy and rich Tajarin which is a traditional pasta from the Piedmont region of Italy. The Gem Lettuce salad was excellent and it is nice to see a restaurant still doing something creative with this wonderful lettuce by adding Tokyo turnip, farro and lamb pancetta. My main course was the Berezan Prawns. What is special about these prawns is that they are produced by the Berezan shrimp company in Langley, British Columbia and Berezan uses eco-friendly farming methods which means the prawns are pesticide free with no antibiotics. I enjoyed my meal and the service was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Kissa Tanto to my friends and family.

During my visit to Vancouver my friend proposed a get together with his husband and a friend of ours. He proposed this place because of the Happy Hour. It was very enjoyable. We were well greeted and decided to sit inside. Alena was our server and was top notch. I followed her advice and my choices were great! I had the meatballs and tiramisu. She asked me which size of red wine and picked the 8oz (not on the menu) The price turned out adequate ($8.).My friends were very happy with their visit as well. We only wish that our friend was not so loud...Will return for sure!Thank you for joining us. Alena is one of our superstars and truly loves making sure our guests well looked after. We will be sure to share your kind words with Alena & our culinary team. We would love for you to join us again soon!Warm regards,Kevin LinAssistant General Manager

Old school authentic Italian environment. Service was impeccable and the servers helped each other in the entire restaurant. There was no âthis is not my stationâ I enjoyed a perfectly shaken martini. We decided the menu was interesting and wanted to taste several items so we shared dishes which were split for us at table side. Our server recommended spot prawns because of their short season which were perfectly prepared then to a lobster salad with a main course of rack of lamb and finally a cannoli.....yum. Oops forgot to mention the served bread with olive oil both great quality. Nice wine selection.

During our 3 week vacation in BC and Alaska we visited this place. We got a small table in a quiet corner in the patio. All the food we ordered was good but compared to the portions you get in Italian restaurants in Europe, they were rather small especially compared to the price you pay. Not even a small cookie with our coffee and tea! Their bread is delicious and so was the bottle of rosé wine we ordered.

Modern Italian cooking emphasizing quality and value. Lupo Restaurant located at the entrance to Vancouverâs famous Yaletown area. Theatres, Concert and sporting venues all within a short walk.
We love eating at Lupo. Whenever we visit Vancouver Lupo is usually our first choice for dinner. My wife loves the fettuccine with truffle shavings and she has been fortunate to have it the last four times we have eaten here. Truffles are not always in season. She had the burrata salad to start which unbelievably delicious.I started with the minestrone soup and then rib eye steak. It was perfectly prepared and delicious.Christina gave us excellent service. We sat in the front of the house which provides a nice view of Hamilton street and the neighbourhood.Lupo is an excellent choice for dinner.

Came for dinner. Very nice meal, husband and I shared mussels and clams which were good - in a spicy sauce. Our son enjoyed his beef carpaccio.I then had a very nice lobster ravioli, but my husband felt his chicken marsala tasted processed. Our son said his beef ragu was good. The server was a bit sloppy though, dropping bit of food when clearing plates and not clearing up after herself.Hi Lazigirl,Thank you for taking the time to review Trattoria Kitsilano. We appreciate all feedback from our guests. Firstly I am glad to hear the majority of your visit was a positive one. However, I am sorry to hear your husbands food was not up to his expectations. If you are not completely satisfied with your meal, we are always more than happy to remake it or prepare another dish for you.I would also like to apologize for the service you were provided, this is not normal practice from our servers. Your comments have been followed up with to our management team to assure this is improved upon.Thank you again for your valuable feedback and taking the time to share your experience.Sincerely,Racquel DeVosGeneral ManagerTrattoria Kitsilano
