I love the thought of this place. Buffet for $8? Yes please. Then I get there and it's cold. Kinda stuck with it once you've said buffet though. Oh well...guess this time I've learned my lesson.

Being in a SMALL town that has 4 Italian Restaurants, this is by far the best one. The pizza is pretty good (I'm a pizza snob, though) and my wife LOVES the Chicken Parmigiana. Nice place to relax and eat.

Picked this restaurant from Yelp reviews that suggested that it might be better than just a pizza joint. We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. No liquor license, but BYOB was allowed, and in fact, the waitress mentioned there is a liquor store next door. She bought "garlic rolls" to the table while placing our appetizer order. These rolls were roughly giant Parkerhouse rolls with no hint of garlic, no real crust, no texture, and no flavor. Basically inedible because they had nothing going for them. Not bad, just not worth eating. I ordered Fettucinni el Flavio, a very mild cream sauce with perfectly cooked shrimp and perfect pasta. Excellent! Wife had their Seafood Combo which was sea scallops, shrimp, and calamari in a mild red sauce with good balance of garlic, basil, thyme, and oregano on a bed of linguini. Also excellent. The owner came to our table after waitress had told her how disappointed we were with the "garlic rolls."Once we explained, she said they also have "garlic bread" and she brought a plate of that to the table. Now, we were happy; good crusty bread with plenty of garlic and butter, slightly toasted. We continued to talk with the owner for some time. She said the locals go crazy over the "garlic rolls" but are leery of the "garlic bread." She is from Kosovo. She told us about their desserts. I had a spumoni pie and wife had strawberry cheese cake. Both good. Summary, good to excellent entrees and desserts. Clarity baout bread would improve things as would a liquor license. All in all, we had a very good time, much of it due to the personal care and concern by the owner. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Pizza was a little too greasy for me. Too much cheese, it didn't let the crust cook all the way through. But! The sauce was great. Here's my bias - I like a thin crust crispy pizza. No thick crust or hand tossed for me.My kids loved it - me meh, not so much.

I have dined at many Palios restaurants, in Sherman, Plano, Frisco, Dallas, etc. None compare to this one in the tiny town of Howe. They are so caring and provide excellent service. The food is very fresh and tastes so much better. I highly recommend anyone to go to Howe to dine at this location.
