For 2 consecutive years while visiting relatives in Valfabbrica (Umbria) my family have experienced the hospitality, environment and cusine provided by Giancarlo Paparelli's Agriturismo Il Pioppo. The agricultural backdrop frames the old farmhouse structure and the surrounding rolling countryside provide for feelings of peaceful serenity. The views from the large attached patio and adjacent swimming pool add to this already relaxing feeling. The daily meals were of a high standard and their preparations was often by Giancano's mother using, products from the region including meats, cheeses, grapes (table/wine), olive oils, aperitifs, etc. Deserts were the highlight of our meals. I particularly enjoyed one of their soups that my wife (Italian) usually prepared only on Christmas. Service was prompt and with a smile. The restaurant cliental was diverse including locals, construction workers (large highway project), touring groups (exotic cars and motorcycles) and professionals. The farmhouse facility also offers rooms and suites. Ours was large enough to accommodate six of us - 4 adults and 2 pre teens. Daily wake up calls were provided by the local rooster and occasionally music and song accompanied evening meals.

This is one of the few restaurants in town, and is perhaps the one assembled most lovingly by the patron/host. She clearly has pride in her immaculate dining room, with fresco-like art on the walls catering to the Camino pilgrim, and a pilgrimâs menu running at a mere 12 euros for a salad, pasta, and secondi. Each were delicious, and after selecting her premium wine, a Montefalco Rosso that was worth every bit of the 14 euros that she charged, we left complimenting her for the meal, the wine, and her ability not just to attract pilgrims, but a large contingent of locals as well!

Our Restaurant proposes a rich menu and abundant dishes influenced by traditional Umbrian cuisine. Fresh homemade pasta, meat bought from farmers in the area or raised directly by us, vegetables grown on our land and numerous sweets. Our Chefs never get t
Similar priced menu options are available in Perugia so a drive out to this Trattoria could be something to think twice about. Don't be mistaken by other reviews and expect more then 1 free course. The tasting menu at â¬30 p/person includes the mixed cheese and cold meats platter and offers 3 main course options. The complimentary potato soup was good and the house wine was good as well, as we had read on Tripadvisor. A main course or 'secondi' comes with cooked vegetables and everything arrives on one plate. Portions are generous. We enjoyed our meal but I was not blown away!Dear Customerthank you very much for your review .Please come soon for another evening together so we would fully satisfy you .Thanks and best regards.

The restaurant looks like a diner room intimate and private of a castle, with a touch of sophistication, nestled in a picturesque setting with a unique flavor. The elegant and careful juxtaposition of ancient and modern elements, the play of light mellow

Amazing! 3 types of wine (from Coldibetto) served with a huge range of excellent local food in 3 hours. The location is stunning, we sat in the garden which was perfect and meant the children could play safely. There was something for everyone. This is a great way to experience Umbrian cuisine and hospitality at its best. Would highly recommend. Gentilissimi clienti, un ringraziamento sincero per questa bellissima valutazione lasciata su TA ma soprattutto ancora grazie per la vostra presenza nel nostro ristorante , un Saluto affettuoso da Locanda Acquasanta a presto.

We have been eating here since it opened and we were never disappointted. Just sit, relax, and see what has been prepared for the day. Don't eat too large quantities of the starters, because you will not be able to enjoy the pasta and the main course. Great food, great service, great view. Steps from the historic central piazza. Family owned and operated. Local and fresh meals for breakfast and dinner. Coffee, pastries, local wine, beer and a full bar. Wood-burning fireplace for the chilly days and air-conditioned during the summer. Homemad
I had a very wonderful and delicious lunch here. Very much recommended! In such a touristy town itâs easy to find sub-par food, but thankfully this restaurant is an exception. (Assisi probably has the worst food Iâve ever had in Italy, so beware of which restaurants you choose!) the service was friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful homemade stuffed pasta and nice glass of red wine. Simple but delicious.
