I love this place. Went for dinner with our 2 teen age daughters. I felt like we were dining in Italy. We ordered the Antipasti which was a beautifully presented board with assorted fine meats, cheeses, artichoke hearts and jam. The freshly baked bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar dipping sauce was a nice accompaniment. We also ordered the Frito misto which was an appetizer of very lightly fried calamari, shrimp and zucchini with a nice dipping sauce. Perfect! The house salad was fantastic with fresh greens, pecans, cranberries and a delicious vinegrette dressing. The pastas were freshly made and fantastic including the meatballs and a dish served with lobster meat and shrimp. And my Pineapple martini was delicious as well. No room for dessert but the choices look nice - maybe next time. Nice ambiance and service. I would make the trip from Boston just to eat here!

Good restaurant: Outdoor seating was nice; service was efficient but not particularly friendly; food was good but a little bit on the heavy side (can't complain though, as in line with how it is presented in the menu and expectations); food is Italian-American, rather than classical European-Italian; prices are quite elevated but in line with the other restaurants of the village; in short, a good but forgettable experience.

We visited JDâs/Saki over our long weekend getaway to Ptown and enjoyed both happy hour and dinner on the deck bar. Happy hour oysters were delicious and very obviously well priced at happy hour. The drinks were also reasonably priced for the downtown area. We enjoyed some sushi as well which was delicious. We enjoyed ourselves not once but twice the same weekend at JDs and are a fan of the fresh food, reasonable menu prices and attentive bar tenders and staff. When we visit the area again we will definitely be back!

There have always been several excellent restaurants in Provincetown, unfortunately some have lost that standing. Front Street, however continues to hold it standing as an stellar dining experience. It has long been a personal favorite. The food and service are first class, and the space, though not typical Cape Cod, is still cozy. This is a secluded and closed dining room, so if you are looking for great views this is not the place. However if you are looking for a local gem with great food, great service from a well seasoned staff, and charm you have arrived. Reservations are a must!

Since 1988, Montano's Restaurant has been treating residents and visitors of North Truro alike to authentic Italian cuisine that's made from scratch the old fashioned way. With pasta that's crafted in-house and cooked to order, homemade sauces, and pizza
We ordered take out dinner from this restaurant on a weeknight. Service was good and our meal was ready when promised. Clam chowder was on the thin side and seemed somewhat oily. Few clams and potatoes. Contained fish that did not taste like clams. Overall, had little flavor. Pasta is homemade, but tasted doughy and heavy in the linguini with clam sauce. Lots of pieces of fish that did not taste like clams. Overall not much clam flavor. Lasagna had little sauce and little meat and seemed greasy. Wouldn't recommend.

Sometimes special chef menus and prix fixe 7 course meals can be intimidating. Not here. Fabulous food. Nicely served -- but in a very casual place. wondered if we'd be underdressed. Not at all. It's Cape Cod! Reservations essential... but try at last minute for one of two settings. 2 1/2 hour meal so we ate at 5:30.Each dish is explained and beautifullly prepared and presented. Nothing "usual" about it... but very edible. A single garnished oyster.... Coca ravioli with mushrooms. Spiraled squash in what looked like a braid garnished with edible flowers. Fantastic pureed gazpacho. Delicious blue fin tuna from Provincetown followed by an EVOO cake with local peaches and whipped cream. Even though a lot of courses, not overwhelming. Wine list has range. We had a Cape Cod Porter which was great -- and incredibly affordable at $4. Menu varies nightly but they accomodate eating limits/allergies without a problem.Highly recommend for a special evening.
