We absolutely loved staying here. The huts have everything you need, the staff were superb and the beach is fantastic (they have sunloungers for the beach too). We ate at the restaurant 3 meals a day for 3days and everything was lovely and such variety. You need to be paitent but it is well worth a meal. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily send friends here to stay!

During our one Month trip through Sri Lanka, we stayed 2 days in Silaa cabana (great place to stay!) and ate in the silaa cafe. Thanks to the chef Max and his experience in being a high end chef for years in resorts and expat compounds around the world, the food here was the best we had on our whole trip! You can stay and eat here all day:For breakfast, the banana pancakes were delicious. For lunch or dinner, the prawns were super fresh and the devilled sauce was delicious. Also the accompanying fruit salad was great. Everything was cheap as well.If youâre not hungry, you can always visit this place with great athmosphere and personnel to have a talk with max about anything, but try food, music or his new Italian coffee machine for a great passionate answer :-)Thanks for the great time!

Nero Kitchen serves piping hot, hand stretched woodfired pizza. Savory and sweet Crêpes (including Nutella).pasta seafood grilled Fish crab lobster Tiger prawns rice and curry soup
Having read the reviews, we were surprised by the restaurant. There is no atmosphere, save for a tv in the corner. The pizza is really good so if you are craving something different from rice and curry this is a place to go but not for a great dining experience!

We came here early and even though it wasnât yet open the owner let us in and let us sit down in the shade to cool off inside with the fan.We ordered pizza, garlic bread, spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti bolognese. In a previous review a comment was made about how the pizza looked and tasted like frozen pizza. I can say that the pizza was not frozen pizza. Be aware these pizzas are not your typical Italian thin crust, Chicago deep dish or New York style pizzas you may be accustomed to. These are Sri Lankan roti based pizzas and still come with tomato sauce, cheese and toppings but will not taste the same or have the same texture as the more western classics. They are delicious nevertheless, but they are certainly different. The carbonara was a little bland and could have used more bacon but the bolognese was excellent. They also make a great roti based garlic bread. Highly recommend trying this. It is NOT on the menu. The owner is very friendly and really wants to make you happy. They do their best and their prices are moderate. One needs to update their expectations but if you are looking for a good pasta place in the area, you will be hard pressed to find a better on than here.Highly recommend.
