Although we saw this place many times we never visited this restaurant. Why....we were not sure it was ok etc.Tonight we went and....we were positively suprised. Good food, no hanky panky...just good. The pizza? A thin and crispy bottom, good stuffing...one of the better pizzas we had in italy. The tagliata was excellent ..... no complaints and at the end we paid less than â¬20,00 pp and enjoyed an antipasti, main course one times dessert and coffee. Serving was ok....a basic but good place for a family meal. We will be back more regular.

Delicious food at IL BORGO. We had the Agnello a Scottadito and the Cighiale a Bujone as main courses. Both were very tasteful, with the Syrah wine a perfect combination.Friendly staff who explained part of the menu. And very affordable prices.

June, 2017 , we had a wonderfull stay at Rita's and Massimo's. Their agriturismo is like a paradise, just between Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. On the estate you can sit anywhere, enjoying the scenery. There is a swimmingpool, a whirlpool , a waterbed and a sauna outside. There is a possibility to have dinner in the restaurant at a good price, ⬠25,- , water and wine included. Rita is a very nice person who will do everything to make you feel comfortable. This was our first visit, but we will come back again for sure.

Ask anyone in town where they go for the best dining experience, and the response is almost unanimous: Toscana dall'Aldina! And our party of seven all agree: great food, friendly service, a casual & comfortable atmosphere, an extensive wine list in all price ranges and all for very moderate prices! We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. This is a top notch restaurant that will please your palate & pocketbook!

We dined here twice and were impressed by the quality of the food. Form great pizzas to well cooked and presented Italian cuisine this was a surprise for a small town in a remote village.

This place is just amazing! I live abroad but I am from Italy and I have been here for a family and friends gathering. There is nothing better than this place to have a lovely italian experience: the food is delicious, home-made, fine wines from the best vineyards, It is an high-tech retreat surrounded by the green italian hills! I would definitely come back here... top!

Last night we celebrated the bachelorette party! We ordered antipasti misti, we tasted 3 different kind of pasta: tortelli with asparagus cream and truffle, pappardelle al cinghiale and pici alla ciccio. Then: cinghiale, agnello fritto and alla scottadito. Of course, we tried fried artichokes too, unbelievably great. To conclude, the desserts. I can suggest you only one thing: go for the croccantino. Please try all 3 versions. Are you into liquors after coffee? Please try the amato and liquor of grappa. The friendly atmosphere and the host (Ciccio) and his wife (the chef) increase the level of your experience in this place.Excellent! Absolutely recommended!

On a recent three week trip to Italy, to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, we and eight of our friends stopped for lunch at Albergo Ristorante Nuovo Castello in Torre Alfina, near Orvieto. It was FANTASTIC!Despite our large group and the later than anticipated arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated at a single long table in this delightful family owned and operated gem of a restaurant. Even though we spoke no Italian and the owner and his family staff spoke very little English, they prepared an excellent meal of the traditional country cuisine of Umbria and Northern Lazio. Every course was fresh, homemade, perfectly prepared and very delicious! The service was gracious and attentive. The location of the restaurant, in a small quaint hill town, topped by a storybook castle that is still occupied as a private residence, added to the overall delight of this restaurant and itâs top quality food. All in our group rated this meal as one of the best we had on our entire trip. We could hardly believe how reasonable the bill was for this outstanding food.I think there were three generations of the family involved in the preparation and service of our lunch. They were all extremely gracious and very passionate about their work.I would recommend Nuovo Castello in Torre Alfina as a âmust visitâ for anyone in the Orvieto and Lago di Bolsena region. And if you are traveling on the A1/E35 you will not regret making the short trip to Torre Alfina, through either Castel Giorgio or Castel Viscardo, to experience an OUTSTANDING meal at Albergo Ristorante Nuovo Castello
