We love Italian sandwiches and recently tried Sam's for the first time. Staff were friendly but our order took some time - although there were no other customers ahead of us. The sandwich fillings were fresh and plentiful however the bread was very, very dry. Probably would not order sandwiches if we returned.

The restaurant was really busy, and most of the tables were taken by customers eating in or waiting for their orders. We had to wait about 30 min as we ordered a spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parm, chicken cesar, and carbonnara pizza. We decided to take out. Since we live in bath (about 10 min drive) our food was still pretty warm. The pizzas were great. the crusts weren't undercooked or over flavored. the chicken parm had a lot of sauce and the chix was good. the spaghetti was average with the meatballs being very good and med size. The owner/manager was apologetic as it was pretty hectic, but the staff were AWESOME. no one seemed in a panic and they had smiles. I tried to assure the owner it was all right that new places had kinks to work out. We want to go back when it's not so busy to try the dining in. the interior is nothing spectacular, and is functional. This is a family friendly place. there were beverages in bottles, but we didn't get them, so don't know if alcohol/beers are sold there.

We ordered pizza to go. We have enjoyed Pat's pizza before and were excited to try the pizza here in Brunswick. We live in Brunswick and only ate at Pat's when we were traveling to Orono or to Yarmouth. Were very disappointed in the pizza. It was overcooked and dry. Now if we had ordered a well-done pizza that might be acceptable. We didn't. The cheese was flavorless and the sauce not what we remembered. So there are a lot of pizza places to order from. You need to give someone a good reason to order from Pat's. We hope the quality improves and at least matches the Pat's pizza that we have had another locations.

We've ordered carry out three times from this restaurant and would rate our experiences as good. The pizza was tasty but the crust was very soggy. Italian entrees were slightly above average. Are used to love Scarlet begonias when we first moved to Brunswick many years ago. They were located on Maine Street and had are wonderfully fresh menu of interesting pasta dishes. You could bring your own alcohol and the restaurant was always buzzing and busy. We were sadly disappointed by the food on this last visit. It doesnât have the energy or pizzazz remember. The ambience was dull. Food mediocre and just generally blah.

We went to Portland Pie on a busy Sunday. Waited quite a while to order, but we knew it was going to be busy with all the people in town for different things. My daughter ordered a meal that included a salad. When her meal came to the table, I asked about the salad. Dominic seemed like âoh, the salad, sure Iâll get you oneâ as if it were not included. Then he made a point to let us know they were making the salad âright nowâ. Still never got it. It took so long to get any service, we didnât even bother to ask again. Course, some other server seemed to have time to clear our dishes, so our server only got our minimum 15% gratuity.

The three of us ordered the risotto, the beef shank, and the chicken parm and shared a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent. We would definitely enjoy this place again.

In town for a celebration of my brotherâs life. He had always enjoyed eating here so two of us went there one evening. Excellent food, superb service. Had the linguine pescatore with tortellini. Outstanding. Cooks are flexible, will adjust the pasta and sauce combinations to what you want. Waitress was great as well, truly an enjoyable experience.
