Pizzeria Gourmet, beers, absinth in iceglass and you can pay with bitcoin too...
This restaurant has only been open 100 days and we think they are doing a great job. From the outset they made us very welcome, then went to the trouble of finding what we wanted ( which was a decent snack after a long walk and a cold beer)The beers appeared almost immediately, and they suggested we share a large pizza of their gourmet variety, it was perfect size, light in texture and filled with ham, salad, tomato, and cheese with a crispy top as well as base topped with sea salt and rosemary, very unusual and delicious. They are doing different things here and we had aniseed licquor served in an ice glass. It is hard to describe but their results leave you intrigued and totally satisfied.Well doneHello Annerob, Sunday lunch we have a little extra time to follow the customers, so thanks fot the very detailed review. The crunches (our very special pizza) is very well described and the Absinth in iceglass is also one of our specialties, for thirsty visitors;-)Thank you for being our guests.Biga Team

My husband and I were staying at a wonderful B&B in Torreglia, called Il Vecchi Mulini (see my husband's review). Our carasmatic host, Fabrizio hooks us up with the best meal of our lives! Down a winding dirt road, hidden from all but the locals... was this small, but packed restaurant ! We had a gastronomic feast we will never forget! It all began with complementary aperitifs; followed by the BEST HOMEMADE PASTA we have ever had; then came this unbelievable frozen dessert of layered ice cream and meringue; and it all ended with the complementary digestive. I believe that this was our best meal in Italy. Thank you Fabrizio.

Fabulous for families with young children as there are animals on the farm which are spread over a few acres and kids can venture and discover...Authentic food with no frills and lovely hosts very good

We visited this restaurant as part of a large family group. We loved it. There is an excellent set menu each night based on locally sourced produce. The chef did a great job of explaining the main course (based around just-baked focaccine) to us in English, which we really appreciated. We felt like this was a truly Italian dining experience, not like anything else. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try something different and traditionally Italian.

It was a very modern restaurant with high quality of food. The terrace is along the street, so we preferred to sit inside. The acoustics are not great, but in general it was okay. The staff is very friendly and helped us understanding the menu.

If you are strolling around these lovely hills and you are looking for a high level cuisine, high level service a charming location you can for sure stop here, Dal Contadino. Service was really excellent, as a Michelin restaurant, and the menu is rich of local recipes. We have tried "bigoli del contadino" with vegetables and sausage and it was great. Then we had a tartare served with a large choice of ingredients among which you can choose ( capers, egg, tobasco, anchovies etc). "Tagliata" was served a little bit cold but meat's quality was not in discussion. Good choice of local wines. Final bill is of course higher than a usual trattoria but value for money is ok. Book a table on the terrace overlooking vineyards because the inside is too big and more suitable for weddings etc.

It was raining hard and we were desperate to find somewhere to eat, saw this big place with a huge empty car park and guessed we'd be turned away. It's the typical wedding banquet and coach party type of restaurant. As we later discovered they don't even do lunches on Thursdays! We were treated like kings and served excellent food - even offering second helpings at no extra cost, in a large dining room all for a very reasonable sum. Wonderful staff, at a place where dignitaries have eaten too, according to the many photos in the reception area. It's so nice to be as well looked after on a rainy day ...

We were invited out for dinner with some Italian friends. They took us to this place. I never would've visited this place if it weren't for them. We had atypical Italian meal of antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. Of course wine was served throughout the meal. The wine is produced on the grounds - really good.We chose to have the special menu which consisted of offerings of various services of chestnut recipes. Chestnuts are in season now, and only around for a few weeks. Everything was excellent. Antipasti of meats plus croquettes filled with a chestnut mixture. Primi was Bigoli with wild boar sauce and an additional chestnut gnocchi with ragu. The secondi was several meats with a chestnut cream sauce. Dolci was lemon ice cream with roasted chestnuts on the side with coffee, grappa and limoncello. Everything was just great. We had more food than we could possibly eat. The service was great. At the end of the meal we were provided a short tour of the winery by the owner. Very nice.We will definitely return for more meals.

Stylish and elegant, the restaurant is located at the center of a large garden with colorful flower beds, olive trees, green lawns and a terrace with incomparable views. You can have dinner outside under cool pergolas or inside in the cozy and bright room
There are many more of the little out of the way places in Italy than one would ever find in the USA, especially with such fine dining but after a number of single lane roads getting there just from the Radisson Blu Galzignano Terme, we arrived just as they opened on the day before the start of the Easter holiday weekend. We knew we were early but we had an early flight scheduled out the next day, so we arrived at 7pm and ordered the degustation menu of four courses. But they served what I thought was an amuse bouche first of parmesan, a piece of ham quiche, and green olives; but then that was also followed by some white prosciutto (basically fat) on a small piece of toast. I believe then, the actual 4 course menu started with some salami and regular prosciutto as the appetizer/antipasti, but then there was another dish of purple potatoes with asparagus which was so tasty but we were starting to fill up when we realized that the next dish was the pasta dish/primi platti of ribbon thin tagliatelle of nettles in green with a white meat sauce. Even though we swore to not eat it all to try and save room for the rest, we gobbled this down entirely. The main dish was duck served with a recipe that was over 500 years old but we could only eat half of what was on our plates in order to save a little room for dessert, which was a hazelnut/almond tart with hazelnut ice cream. My goodness, it was all so good and the helpings weren't necessarily American sized portions but there was just too much and all for 50⬠per person. Wow. I had to use my limited Italian and French as the wait staff might have one person fluent in English but that was fine as it added to the entire environment. How better to get out of your comfort zone than to use some guesswork to figure out your next dish? We'll have to go again!

Stopped in for lunch while en route from Padova to Lake Garda. We only wanted a light-ish lunch, so pasta was the idea. We've had many pasta dishes in Italy, where we've visited about 20 times, that have ranged from average to excellent, but we've never had anything to match this. These are not your standard pastas, but individual recipes that we've never seen replicated anywhere else. My wife and I chose different dishes, and we both agreed, these were the best pasta dishes we've ever had.The owner was very friendly and welcoming, the decor was beautiful, and these are great positives for the restaurant, but the food quality is why you must go. Sadly, because we only ate light and because we still had a distance to travel, we didn't get to sample any other dishes, but the menu promised to be very exciting.
