Reviews on Italian food in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. A tradition dating back to the city's origins as a colonial mining capital, silver is the focal point of Taxco shopping, and indeed the most popular tourist pursuit. All around the picturesque town you'll find sellers of silver finery, from open air markets to metal workshops to high end boutiques.

The food was really tasty and the service was really good too. We ate fajitas of arrachera and fajitas of chicken which were great. The drinks were good as well and we loved their tortillas. The size of the plates are normal. The place is nicely decorated and right in front of the main plaza and the main church. The waiter was very attentive. Def will come again to this restaurant on my next visit to Taxco.

After visiting Taxco, Mexico numerous times, this was the first time we have seen El Toque Romero. It's a perfect place on a Friday or Saturday night to sit on the Zocalo elevated above the crowd overlooking the cathedral and all the action. While we did not have dinner here, our server offered a drink made with Mescal. It was just what we needed to relax before Tianguis Silver market shopping tomorrow (Saturday). The menu consisted of pizzas, crepes, spaghetti and lasagna. We will definitely be back to have dinner !
Guerrero, Mexico Food Guide: 5 Bar food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Taxco
Recently opened (end of 2018), this is the newcomer of the Taxco bar scene. Some say they have the cheapest beer in town, Iâm not so sure. Love the décor, themed on the painting The Starry Night by Van Gogh. A lot of calming blues, a lot of stainglass effects. Although the place is new and well decorated, the restroom, on the other hand is dreadful. Men and women share the same one bathroom and it is absolutely filthy. Also, very tiny and with only a small hook to barely hold the door shut. The door opens directly next to chairs where people drink â not very appetizing. The overall artsy concept is nice. They also show some works of art and have a great view of town, a nice bonus. The gentleman who welcomed me (a friend of the owner I am told) was absolutely drunk in the middle of the day. I detest slobbery people welcoming me to a bar. If it hadnât been for my friends, I wouldâve turned around. The owner was very welcoming but too busy to really pay attention to his clientele. It took us a long time before finally get and pay the bill. Construction was going on in a corner of the bar, hopefully a real restroom⦠I would give this place another chance and hopefully theyâll have a sober welcoming crew and clean/safe restrooms next timeâ¦
Friends of ours who live in Taxco brought us here for dinner, which was a set menu for a charity event that was being held at this restaurant, which is located just off the main terrace for Hotel Victoria. Dinner was exceptional, and as things turned out, the primary chef ended up joining our table for dinner. The meal began with a complimentary shot of mescal which was much smoother than I'd anticipated, and followed with a cream soup that was made out of amaranth seeds, it was wonderful. The main course was a very good steak that was wrapped in a light cheese and phyllo dough which was also stuffed with spinach or something like that. And of course there was a side of perfectly whipped potatoes and vegetables, and a few very good glasses of the house red wine. The view is spectacular, one of the best in Taxco, and I've now seen the town from all sides! The view of the primary cathedral was exceptional from this vantage point.
