Reviews on Italian food in Swakopmund, Erongo Region, Namibia. Namibia's largest coastal town is a huge draw for merrymakers and vacationers from all over the globe. This seaside resort showcases its German origins in its European-style colonial architecture, creating a jarring juxtaposition against the landscape of the Namib desert. Sandboard or motorbike the dunes, dine and imbibe in a picturesque restaurant on the waterfront, or just marvel at the unusual birds and plants that populate the region.

We frequently visit Wurstbude when in Swakopmund. Staff is typical locals and pizzas are always piping hot and good but patrons have become boisterous and noisy to the point that you also have to speak very loud to be heard by people at your table. Prices are a bit on the stiff side for an ordinary pizza place.

We had a delicious dinner here, I had the game and each different steak had a little flag (that I have kept) with the names of the animals on it. It was wonderful. A surprise particularly after spending the afternoon in the medical center. Beer cold, food good, wait staff charming in a very funny welcoming way.

Nice atmosphere, not crowded. Friendly polite staff. I went here on my first night and very much liked it. On my second night in Swakopmund, I tried the more busy/crowded The Tug. There were no seats, so I happily went back to the Cosmopolitan. I had the Beef Filet with Saffron and Pink Peppercorn. It was at least as good as any steak I've had in the USA in years. I had a generous glass of Cabernet, salad, bread, still water, and the aforementioned steak for NAD 235 which I found very reasonable. Highly recommend this place for dinner.

My friend found this place on happy cow for vegan food. So we decided to go. When we got there the staff was friendly and the menu looked amazing however when I went to order I found out that they currently had no vegan cheese. So that vegan pizza I ordered was basically bread sauce and some toppings. Even though it wasnât on the menu they did have vegan ice cream which was quite good and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 3. A lady did come over and explain they have been waiting for the vegan cheese they ordered for a week however that didnât help me or anyone that had come in before me for the last week. I am sure on the future this place will be a 5 Star it just isnât at this point.HI KeriThank you for the compliment on my vegan ice cream. However I did invite you to come in today for a complementary pizza if it was possible, as I received after you had already finished your pizza. But yes like you explained it didn't however help you last night, I apologies sincerely for that. Many RegardsCindy

Although Swakop buzzes during holidays, it's a bit slow in the off season. But Gabrielles keeps the standards up year round. We had excellent pizza in the cosy atmosphere and were even pleasantly surprised by a bit of fun, live music. It will definitely be on my list of regular stops when I return. Thanks Lisa for your great review, we love it when people enjoy coming to us as much as we enjoy our job. Hope to see you again soon. Ciao
