Reviews on Italian food in Stavanger, Western Norway, Norway. With about 120,000 people, Stavanger is Norway’s fourth-largest city and a fascinating mix of old and new. Its history stretches back deep into the Middle Ages. Stavanger was once a tranquil coastal market town and then later an important fishing port. But it was the 1969 discovery of oil offshore that forever changed the now bustling city’s fortunes and landscape. Don’t miss the well-preserved old town (Gamle Stavanger), the unique Canning Museum or the 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral.
Things to do in Stavanger
I am always happy to find a place thatâs just a little different. This one is âoff the beaten pathâ and quite good. Some nice choices from meat eaters to vegan friendly. It was nice to find and well worth the visit. The prices seemed normal for Stavanger, and it isnât a chain restaurant, so I was happy!

Stumbled across this restaurant & so glad we did. The service is great, friendly and relaxed. The owner Beejan is worth the visit itself, makes you feel very welcome and the food is excellent. Menu is very small, with only one choice for starters, which is olives, tomato, cheese, meat & bread so filling. Main meal is one of 4 choices but the serves are so big, there is no room for desert.

Benvenuti!
We dined at this restaurant on our first night in Stavanger. Even though it was late by Stavanger standards, the waiter seated us. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area with heaters, blankets and 'fur' throws and comforatable cushioned settees. My huband had the Scampi Linguine and it was delicious, as was my salad and the foccacia was excellent. It is cosy and romantic and away from the noisy restaurants on the Calle by the cruise ships Our waitress was efficient and friendly. The inside looked fun, warm and inviting. We would definitely go again!

I have eaten here twice over the past few years. Very good food, clean restaurant, very cozy and historic feel. One night the waitstaff was excellent, the other night it was a bit slow. All other experiences were very good.

Casa Gio is a great restaurant whith awesome food. The place is small but cozy, not very busy when we were there, which is a plus, so you can have a conversation without shouting. The food (mozarella saldat, rissotto and seafood linguini) was fantastic. Donât miss the Tiramisu, one of the best Iâve ever had. Totally recommended!

Went here with my 2 kids on Sunday afternoon and it was pleasant. Waitress was friendly, service and atmosphere were nice and food was very good quality. Prices were not as steep as some Pizza chains in Norway and the menu gives you a lot more options then Pizza. Great selection of Pasta and Pizza. Me and the boys loved it.

Neapolitan Pizza By the Meter OPEN EVERYDAY mano.pizza
Great tasting pizzas with fresh ingredients. Ordered takeaway, the wait was short. Some of the best tasting pizzas eaten, it was also good that they combined the two pizzas in one large one to reduce the amount of cardboard by having 2 separate boxes. If you want great tasting pizzas then give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to review us, much appreciated. Welcome back. Regards,MANO
