Discover Restaurants offering the best Italian food in Sifnos, South Aegean, Greece. Sifnos (Greek: Σίφνος; the spelling Siphnos is obsolete in English but still by convention often used to refer to the island in ancient times) is an island municipality in the Cyclades island group in Greece. The main town, near the center, known as Apollonia (pop. 869), is home of the island's folklore museum and library. The town's name is thought to come from an ancient temple of Apollo on the site of the church of Panayia Yeraniofora. The second-largest town is Artemonas (800), thought to be named after an ancient temple of Apollo's sister-goddess Artemis, located at the site of the church of Panayia Kokhi. The village of Kastro (118), was the capital of the island during ancient times until 1836. It is built on top of a high cliff on the island's east shore and today has extensive medieval remains and is the location of the island's archeological museum. The port settlement, on the west coast of the island is known as Kamares (245).

We had a lamb kleftiko and a baked aubergine dish both of which were delicious. Served with fresh baked bread and a smile. Highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the service. Was also excellent value. Will be going back for more - the moussaka looked amazing so will have to try that next

This Italian restaurant was founded in 1988 and is still going very strong under its delightful owner Loretta. Located right on the beach, it offers an extensive menu of Italian food and wine â with its Bresaola and Carpaccio of veal particularly recommended. Additionally, its friendly and efficient staff made this one of our favourites in the area.

This restaurant has fantastic pastas and pizza, both wonderfully authentic and well thought out. The salads are also very good and the young servers were very friendly and professional. A great setting and far better than the Italian competition next door. Definitely give this one a try!

CÃ nova is a gastronomical experience where traditional culinary excellence meets contemporary and wine matches food.
A great restaurant with contemporary mediterranean cuisine. Probably the best service on the island. My favourite dish was the portobello mushroom topped with a local cheese (can't remember the name), paired with an amazing artisanal greek beer. If you are in Sifnos this place for dinner is a must!

I have three words for you: fresh, handmade pasta! Passione Italiana is a small Italian cuisine restaurant at the quaint port of Kamares in Sifnos. Pretty, with elegantly simple decoration providing a nice view, it serves traditional Italian cuisine with a modern touch. But most importantly, everything is fresh and handmade, pizza, pasta and their deserts! We really wanted to try everything from the menu as all looked delicious. The girls had pasta, my wife the amatriciana with guanciale (cured pork) and pecorino cheese and my daughter porzini filled pasta with truffle cream sauce and I had the white pizza with mortadella, mozzarella and pistachio pesto! Iâm not an amatriciana fan but that was absolutely delicious and the handmade porzini was amazing, we could actually taste the fresh pasta! The truffle sauce was very inspiring and full of flavor! The pizza was great too, the crust was thin with a perfect texture between soft and firm, fully covered in mozzarella and mortadella as they certainly donât skimp on materials and the pistachio pesto exquisite! That was something Iâve never tried before and I totally enjoyed! For dessert we had tiramisu and chocolate mousse with ice cream. The tiramisu was so rich and creamy with good balance of sweetness and coffee beautifully presented and served in a jar and the chocolate mousse was decadent! Even if youâre not into chocolate you will love it!Iâve been to Italy and Iâm telling you, that place was like being somewhere in Tuscany, authentic, traditional, modern and retro at the same time. The Chef was really nice coming out of the galley and engaging with the guests. Passione Italiana was unquestionably one of our top three eateries in Sifnos. Mark my words and pay a visit if you ever be in that charming small island of Cyclades!
