It had about 10,000 inhabitants at the 2001 census [INDEC]. The village is located in the center of the Calamuchita Valley, in the middle of a landscape that includes hills (the Sierras) as well as rivers and lakes; the area is a major tourist attraction. Other important nearby towns in the Valley are Villa General Belgrano and Embalse (the latter is home to a nuclear power plant).

Entramos al restaurante xq mi marido querÃa comer chivito, mi hija y yo no comemos. Al entrar nadie nos atendÃa y el salón estaba hasta la mitad de clientes, esperamos 30min solo para esperar la carta, después nos dimos que los mozos y el sr que estaba en la caja, estaban cenando x eso no atendÃan a nadie!!(entramos a las 9.30 pm) bueno después de la odisea de esperar solo la carta, mi marido pide chivito, mi hija rabas y yo lomo al roquefort. Nos toman el pedido y después de un rato nos dicen que el camión que traÃa los chivitos no vino, asà que no hay, como también no habÃa rabas!!!! Otra vez a esperar xq tuvimos que cambiar el menú. Después de unos 40 minutos llega la comida, frÃa xq la dejaron en la barra xq no sabÃan de que mesa era el pedido. No fue mala, la comida era abundante pero el servicio pésimo. Vamos por el postre, pedimos flan, tampoco habÃa... asà que está fue nuestra primera cena en Santa Rosa con pésimos resultados. No lo recomiendo!!!!

En Calamuchita esta este lugar que realiza unas ricas pastas caseras y muy frescas. Ahhh con unas salsas muy ricas. Todo hecho por sus dueños.

This charming neighbourhood café is located along the riverbank promenade away from the tourist main area. It is a family style restaurant offering pizzas, pastas, salads and more. The portions are generous, the food is home cooked and the prices are very low. It is extremely popular with the local residents and they offer a take-away service. Just a short 15 minute walk along the riverbank from downtown this is worth a visit.

If you feel like Italian this is a good place. Their pastas are cooked on the spot or you can buy them fresh and cook them yourself at home. Don't expect gourmet wines but table wines that go well with pasta. In fact if you mix the wine with soda you'll enjoy it even more. No credit or debit cards as it seems practice in many restaurants around Santa Rosa. I had ravioli cooked to perfection and my friend had multicoloured gnocchi. Both excellent. The place could do with softer lighting and some air con but it wasn't too bad.Si quieren pastas este es un buen lugar. Las pastas se cocinan al momento y se pueden comprar crudas para llevar. Los vinos son de mesa normales que van bien con la pasta. La verdad añadiéndoles soda el vino esta mejor. Como es normal en muchos restos en Santa Rosa no se aceptan tarjetas. Yo comà ravioles muy bien cocidos y mi compañero gnocchi multicolores también muy bueno. Es resto se beneficiarÃa con una iluminación mas tenue y con aire acondicionado en el verano pero no esta tan mal.

This is one of the best restaurants Iâve ever visited ( certainly the best Italian one). Products are extremely high quality and you can definitely tell that dishes are prepared with love. Pay attention to Danielleâs (the owners) advice, he knows what heâs doing. We stayed there for around 3 hours trying many different delicacies suggested by Danielle. Iâd recommend the mushroom ravioli with walnut sauce. Also the pesto lasagna was incredible. Finally, price-quality ratio is great.
