We used this restaurant on a number of occasions during our visit to Lake Garda.Simply superb traditional Italian cuisine.Staff/service in this family run business was excellent. We arrived quite late one night after day trip to Venice on our sons birthday and they happily accommodated us.Whilst not located in the main Lakeside towns, the cuisine and service and value for money make this restaurant really worth a visit.

Situated on the main road through Torri, this little restaurant has a limited menu with wonderful food. A husband and wife team run the kitchen and daughter is front of house. We shares an antipasto platter with fried pillows of pasta accompanying, which were really scrumptious. fresh pasta followed, also great. We could not manage a dessert, but this was probably the best food of our holiday.

The restaurant âLa Casa degli spiritiâ is located on the road to San Zeno di Montagna, in a setting of rare natural beauty, with a beautiful view overlooking Lago di Garda and the town of Giulietta and Romeo.Elegant and refined with Menu à la carte, recog
I canât explain how amazing our evening reception at La Casa was on 26th July. I had visited the venue before booking and for menu tasting but which was amazing but on the day it was better than I could have wished. The view is spectacular and walking down the steps on arrival to the food stations and bar outside was something else, even I as the bride was taken back. I brought decorations from the UK but didnât need to as Sara had loads of lovely touches. The staff were all lovely and so helpful and Sara is a great host, nothing was too much trouble. The area for the band was perfect and the food and drink were amazing. We canât wait to return to celebrate some of our anniversaries here in the future. If youâre considering booking your wedding here I would 100% recommend. Hello Claire354thank you very much for your wonderful review,On behalf of all the staff I thank you and look forward to celebrating your next anniversariesBest regards

The "Gardesana" building has more than 500 years of history. It has been built by the Venetian Republic for the meetings of the Council of the Ten Communes of this side of the lake. After Napoleon, during the Austrian domination, until 1866, it had a dark
I recently returned from a two-week vacation in the Veneto region, of which the highlight was -- of course -- eating. And I had expected this place to be among the best. The reality was quite the contrary: it was easily the most disappointing culinary experience. The only dish that lived up to the hype was the "buon Ricardo" dish of crepes with local perch filling. These were indeed magnificent, melt-in-your-mouth light and creamy. Another member of our party had spinach risotto with shrimp, which was creatively presented, but not out-of-this world; the shrimp were far from the most succulent I had seen this region. What really disappointed was our main dish of Lake Garda pike. The fish itself was slightly overcooked. The overall dish was extremely bland, with an unidentifiable white sauce; I had guessed it might be hollandaise, but it had none of the tang of hollandaise. Additionally, the waitstaff did not get our order right; they brought the risotto first, then two plates of the Lake Garda pike. Somehow they missed the fact that another member of our party had ordered the buon Ricardo plate. This isn't an earth-shattering mistake, but this place is trying to present an image of formalistic, "old world" service. What comes across is is a vague sense of decadence and disinterest, in a way a bit reminiscent of the movie THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.We enjoyed the flourless chocolate truffles given as a complementary dessert, and the pre-dinner glass of spumanti. Overall, however, I'd say Albergo Gardesana is riding on its reputation. (It's hosted celebrities such as Maria Callas, Churchill, and the Kennedys in previous years.) It needs a new chef with an envigorated menu.

We arrived without a reservation and unfortunately they could not offer us a table outside as they were fully booked but that didn't take from our lovely experience. We choose the River tasting menu and the meat tasting menu both offer great value. The food was presented very nicely, the portion sizes are very good (come hungry) but most importantly the food taste was excellent. Lots of lovely flavours and unusual combinations that worked for us. We choose house white and a lovely valpolicella superiore ripasso to accompany our meal.Deserts were mouth watering!Final bill â¬130 excellent value including waters, coffee and cover charge. We will return but we will make a reservation first.Highly recommended service was friendly, efficient and they spoke excellent English, German and Italian.

We eventually found this place after driving up and down San Zeno high street a few times. To say the road down is tight and steep would be an understatement - a concrete strip with few passing places and virtually perpendicular in places, it's not for the feint hearted or owners of large BMWs in our case). When we eventually arrived we found a building site - obviously closed, although there was no mention of this on the web site which we checked before leaving. We eventually managed to turn around and make our way back to San Zeno where we had a perfectly pleasant lunch at the Gardenia restaurant. In my view, if places have a web site they also have a duty to keep it up to date, and advertising "open 7 days per week" when they were in the middle of what looked like a major rebuilding operation id irresponsible and just wastes people's time. Sorry guys, you may be great but you blew it for us - never again.Dear Guest, thank you for choosing us and we are very sorry for the unexpected, occurred on Monday, September 7th, but unfortunately we have not been able to update the site in real time: we apologize to you and all our customers. The fact that the Agriturismo was closed that day was reported along the way to get there. To give also a correct information, we would like to point out that what it has been defined as "a major rebuilding operation" is not about the farm and, even less its opening days.If you want to visit us again we remind you that we will remain open all-day - in lunch and dinner time - until Sunday, September 13th; instead since Monday, September 14th, we will be open only on weekends (Friday only in the evening, Saturday and Sunday all-day).We reccomend to make a phone call for booking or for any questions : we will be available to help you.We hope you will give us a second chance to get to know.Best regardsGiovanniAgriturismo Scriciol

Small restaurant located on the east coast of Lake Garda ( Torri del Benaco). Le Gemme di Artemisia offers cooking class in the morning and restaurant at the evening time with only 3 tables , therefore it is highly recommended to book it in advance. We ha
We truly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Andrea, and Lara. They treated my family and I to a great day of learning how to prepare our lunch, and then being able to eat it later. I am not much of a cook, but had a great time. Their restaurant is in a beautiful, quiet location, with scenic views. Chef Andrea also recommended a restaurant back in NJ that he had previously worked as a guest chef a few times recently. Thank you both for a great experience.

Probably this is a family-oriented restaurant, and this explains why there were so many kids screaming and running around like maniacs. I am not against children if they are well-mannered, but when it is too much it becomes annoying for the other guests trying to have dinner and trying to exchange a normal conversation. Food was overall good, a bit over-priced, but what ruined everything was the atmosphere. Not to try if you see kids running around...
