We we're just strolling around the neighbourhood when we stumbled across this Italian bistro. We could smell the food from outside and we just had to go in. No tourist in sight here, this really is a place where the Italian go and meet eachother. Everybody knew eachother as well. We both ordered pasta and it was perfect. Also it was very affordable, since we just came from Milano where its quite expensive. Service was great, waiter was kind and funny. Since there was no english menu he took the time to go through the menu with us. Would definitely recommend !!

Interesting pizzeria with a very diversified menu.Service is Average and the pizza is very good but I didnât find nothing really special beyond the average offer in Italy The price is definitely higher than standard pizzeria and as such I would not recommend this place

Giotto (the architect / painter) was renowned for drawing a perfect circle freehand; Marco (directly from Naples), the pizzaiolo is the true architect of the perfect Neapolitan pizza. Giotto (the restaurant) is not easy to find, slightly out of town, but if you want the best Neapolitan pizza Florence can offer, this is the place and the trip is worth every second. But remember, book a table, the place is always full - no prizes for guessing why, considering the quality of the pizza.I am definitely going back.

After a long day walking we wanted an easy dinner near our Airbnb. Our hosts had recommended this local place and the reviews on TripAdvisor seemed promising. We had noticed it was empty on the night before but a couple reviews mentioned getting great service as the only people in there on a slow night so we thought weâd try it. Sadly I think that the reviews may have been under different ownership. We werenât greeted with Prosecco and our waitress was clearly new and inexperienced. When she didnât even know what Ossobucco (for which there are a couple rave reviews here and I would have ordered in an instant) was I thought about leaving and should have listened to my instincts. To her credit she did check with the chef who knew what it was but could not prepare it that night. In the end we had a good starter of mixed meats and cheeses and 2 very underwhelming entrees. Both were too salty and though we mentioned that and were offered replacements we preferred not to try something else based on the fact that we were not confident in what we would get and being the only 2 people in the restaurant for that whole time was a bit uncomfortable with limited interaction from the staff.Maybe it was an off night but Iâd be cautious about going in if you donât see more local dinners already there. Dear Matthew,We appreciate your honest and accurate review, we will make good use of it to improve our service. The Ossobuco was indeed a specialty of one of our past menus and, as we change menu on a regular basis, some dishes might not always be available. The entrées that you took (Tuscan salumi) were supposed to be salty, it would have been a pleasure for us to let you have a taste of our Burrata cheese with Coccoli. We wish you a pleasant stayEnotria's Staff

Like many I suspect we went here because it was across the road from our hotel. Having no preconceptions, we were pleasantly surprised not only by the friendliness of the waitresses (English spoken) but also by the standard of food. There are better places but not so convenient and would certainly come again if we came back to the same hotel.

This restaurant is located out of downtown but if you are looking for a great meal, you should seriously consider going. It is very conveniently located in a mall that is next to the Tram T2's Sandonato station. We enjoyed our meal so much that we made a stop on the way to the airport (the T2 line goes to the airport). This is definitely a restaurant that targets the local market rather than the tourist trade so the menu was not in English but the staff were very helpful.

Informal restaurant, ideal for a good meal near the centre of Florence for a respectable price, the menu has lots of different dishes, from pasta dishes, meat dishes -including the Fiorentina steak-, fish dishes and home-made desserts.
Have been before but the waiting staff need training, the food has been excellent on many occasions... again the chef has a passion that he needs to pass onto the waiting staff. Somewhat rude (even if not purposefully). You Canât always Enjoy a meal If the service is lacking. Food and service need to complement each other....Hello miss,I'm sorry your experience hasn't been good last time, we apologize for any kind of bad behavior the staff may have had.But I feel like 1 star is a little too harsh considering that the food had been excellent, on multiple occasions also, but then again, we'd like you to come once more to see if there's been any improvements since last time, and enjoy a good meal per-say.Sincerely, the Owner.

I just got home from a solo dinner at Nedo and am sad I didn't go sooner. The service was friendly and perfectly attentive but not overbearing, and the waiter spoke English in addition to Italian (of course).Despite being a restaurant focused on meat, there are some good vegetarian options. I had the pici (a thick spaghetti typical to Tuscany) with an egg fricassee of lemon, capers and oregano. It was so good with just the right amount of lemon giving it a sense of brightness. Wine and beer list is good, but the amaro selection could be improved. Though an added sip of lemoncello at the end of the meal made up for it. :)All in all a welcoming place with a successfully creative menu - I can't wait to visit Florence again so I can come back.

Locale moderno e giovanile dove mangiare e bere ascoltando musica in vinile
We found Melloo while searching for a place for dinner on our first night in Florence. We were staying close at a hotel close to the river, so we needed to take a cab to get there. The owner was friendly and very helpful to us in selecting which pizza to order and in choosing a beer to go with it. And the pizza was amazing, along with the craft beer. Everything was fresh and tasty. We even topped it off with a cannoli with pistachios for dessert, and the owner was even kind enough to call a taxi for us. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!Thank you so much for your review!it was very nice to have you as a guest at melloo. When you return you will be welcome as always.
