We celebrated Christmas lunch at this charming, rustic restaurant situated in the countryside. The food was local and fresh made with the finest ingredients. The staff was highly professional and courteous. Excellent wine list and a varied menu existing of seafood and meat. The portions were abundant and the price range was fair. I recommend the eggplant parmigiana and mixed legume soup. Outstanding.

Bar, Pizzeria, Fish Tavern "La Pineta" is born, about forty years ago, near an ancient Pineta on the Riviera d'Ulisse just steps from the sea. The Bar Restaurant "La Pineta" rio claro, offers different services: Bar, Minimarket, Newsstand, Fish restaurant
Where do I begin? I really love everything about La Pineta, which I learned is the same name as a tree indigenous to the area. You'll see a ton, they are super cool! La Pineta was such a perfect find and have such lovely people running the show. It's one family, they are there every single day and greet you with a smile every time you see them. Beautiful people. The restaurant has everything you need for a full day at the beach or even just for a date night. There is a proper cafe (which turns into a little bar in the evening/night) and they have their own private beach with chairs for rent. Hopefully, the kid in charge of the beach, Dario, is there next summer because he is the best and so helpful! The beach is beautiful and clean as well. Ok, let's talk food. There is one dish in particular that I am obsessed with. The vongole spaghetti...it is incredible! I wish I could have a plate of it right this second. Ok I lied, I am also obsessed with the swordfish (pesce spada) antipasto/salad. It's a must and so fresh! They're pizza in unbelievable too. Everything we ate and drank there was delicious. See photos for proof. One of my favorite things about the restaurant beside the food and people, is the decor. It is so perfectly decorated. Think white walls and chandeliers...it's totally beach chic. I saw that they also have live music and other entertainment throughout the season as well. Side Note: It appears there are many Italian vacationers that come to Rio Claro to rent homes near the beach with their family. Similar to how us Chicagoans go to Michigan. How fun would an Italian beach house be!? On the bucket list. If you happen to be between Rome and Naples and find yourself exploring the beach towns of Fondi (Rio Claro and Sperlonga), you must stop in for the day or for a meal. The restaurant is closed for the season, so plan for a summer vacation. Personally, I can't wait to go back for more amazing meals, a day at the beautiful beach and an opportunity to see the wonderful family in charge again. Looking forward to our next trip there!

Personale abbastanza cortese.

Amazing lunch at Essenza. We took the three courses menu with assemblage of wines. The many appetizers and sweets were offered. All plates were beautiful and very inventive, like the soup of squid ink with peas. The bill was really reasonnable for such a high standard cuisine.

We I travelled to our friends wedding in October 2013. and the venue was beautiful, music was great fireworks a lovely touch. Presentation was fantastic. But I found most of the 8 course meal not to my liking. As a fish and chips man. Do not be put off by my comment, as service was good, and many of the guest had empty plates. Most importantly the venue was perfect for a wedding. and we enjoyed our evening with friends. thank you Pierserena and Daniele Happy long life together.

A nice location with tables in the well tended garden, despite the abundant mosquitoes. However, both the food and the service were very disappointing. The starter of octopus, rocket and pecorino tasted overwhelmingly of the latter and even taken in it's own, the octopus was pretty tasteless. The same for the pasta dishes with seafood. Perfectly pleasant but basically a bit tasteless and definitely not tasting of fish which, for somewhere like Terracina, is a bit worrying. The wine was ok although we ordered a locally produced wine and were given another, without any explanation. One plate of pasta was served a good 5 minutes before the other two and a replacement wine glass took about 10 minutes to appear. The ultimate disappointment was being charged for a second bottle of water that we had neither ordered or received. So, although this appears to be the 'in' place in Terracina this year, we will not be going back.

The pasta was al dente and the Mozzarela di Buffala was one of the best I've ever eaten. The amount of food is generous and the attention fantastic. The house is beautiful and surrounded by exquisite gardens.

We came to Sonnino only because we found a good price for a B&B in this area. What we found was much better than what we were expecting! We reach the little wonderful town around 10 pm and we were afraid that we won't find a place to eat. But we did! It's an osteria in the center of Sonnino where we found not only the best food around, but also the real hospitality an Italian could offer! We asked if is still open and they answered that they will stay open until we will enjoy our dinner. The dinner: supreme! All home made tipical Italian pasta, a tasteful steak, their own olive oil and, at the end, even if it was over midnight, they offered us a homemade liquor!I think that we could talk about art. What the art is? Be able to get emotional someone making any kind of action...this people h/gave us an unaxpected emotion... This food and this warm service made our day!The best experience possible!Everyone should try it! We, for sure, will come back!Thank You very much, See You Soon.
