I have been in the restaurant on June 2014.I am vegetarian and I didn't have any problem to eat there. They have also menu for vegetarian, gluten free, etc.We order a pasta.I had a fabulous mezzelune with cheese filling and olive oil with mauve' flowers. They served the bread with the Torta Fritta, a tipical speciality from that area, usually served with salumi. As desert we tried the mini pasticcini and a torroncino icecream-cake. Delicious. The service was impeccable and the food really good, with excellent combination. The Restaurant use many botanical products sold in their the shop nearby, which I really recomend to visit.Excellent place!

Located a little way outside Salsomaggiore, this is a gem of a place serving food of the region at very reasonable prices. Excellent service from the owner Gianni. Fixed price menu at lunchtime, which represents fantastic value. Clean and pleasant decor, with an outside terrazzo. If you are in Salsomaggiore, then it is definitely worth driving a couple of miles out to try this.

We visited Parmamenu twice in our five day stay in Salsomaggiore..once for lunch and then for dinner. Both were excellent and whislt the service was a bit slow at times, it didnât spoil the occasion. Great slection of local cheeses and chutnneys and if you like desserts, thereâs plenty to chiose from.

Visited this restaurant solely based on TI recommendations and found these to be very accurate. We tried two starters, a side salad, a spicy salami pizza and a Sicilian pasta dish and two desserts. All excellent and truly delicious. This is a warm neighbourhood restaurant holding an extensive menu of authentic favourite Italian dishes. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated with a nice homely feel about the place. With only three staff members in sight, they treated to a very fresh and tasty meal. Dessert was just as good (tiramisu and baba......) washed down with a shot of espresso.Value wise, true value for money without question. So if you are touring this area or on the way to Parma, you wonât be disappointed if you visit Pizzeria Timoncenko.

In 1986, Luca and Bruno opened the Restaurant and Pizzeria LâIncontro. The ingredients, which the dishes are made of, have been carefully chosen so to create a menu which alternates local traditions and the memories of the sea, that has always belonged to
Recommended to eat here after booking into a local hotel when we ran into bad traffic on the way to Ancona...Sat on the pavement tables in this very well frequented restaurant. We ordered one of the large salads, spicy anchovy starter, gnocchi, seafood tagliolini, a local pizza slice ( think ciabatta with topping) and a simple but v tasty tomato mozzarella pasta. Aperol, bottle of local wine and drinks all came to â¬90 incl a couple of coffees.Staff friendly, and found English menus for us.Food was excellent but one main more than enough unless you have a truly colossal appetite.Definitely recommended!

The restaurant offers its clients local dishes from Emilia, the inevitable selected delicatessen, where the special DOP (Parmigiano Reggiano, Culatello and Parma Ham 24 months) accompanied by one of our specialties, the "fried cake." We serve the best foo
I visited the Trattoria Ceriati with my wife and brother and sister-in-law as part of our long weekend in Salsomaggiore Terme to visit the Vernasca Hill Climb. Inevitably the menu had lots of local speciality dishes, e.g. Parma ham and variants, but it also offered a wider choice including roast duck and some good grill choices. We had steak and lamb dishes, after starters of hams, anolini and fried pasta. All very good, as were the Valpolicella and Brunello wines we tasted. We were also the recipient of some sort of lethal cherry (?) liqueur, foc, which went down very well. Lovely service, good location, perfect night. Well worth 5 stars. Recommended by our hotel, Villa Fiorita.

Good first impression..poor english menu. One price in english other in italian menu. You have to be careful with this. Ask several times before ordering anything otherwise you can be surprised at paying (not the good way). Hint: be careful with steak ;) its not 3.9 as stated in english menu although we asked several times..Dear Mr. Sandis,We're very sorry to read your negative feedback; please let us further explain the misunderstanding occurred. Here in Italy the "Fiorentina" steak is always priced in any restaurant for 1 hectogram (1/10 of kilogram), so for 1 Kg of meat (2.2 lbs) you pay 10x the menu price. Even though it's not reasonable to believe that 1Kg steak can be priced 4 euros in a restaurant or anywhere else, we eventually accorded you a huge discount, accepting in fact the amount you were willing to spend. We also had an outdated english menu, that we have already reprint, and we're sorry for that.Best regards,Graziano Besenzi

Each time I'm visiting Italy, I'm trying to come to Salsomaggior Terme especially to have a meal at Osteria del Castello. I'm always getting top quality food, excellent service and warm personal greetings from the owner. Caramelized onion and tortelli with truffle sauce remain may favorite. If you are in Salsomaggiore Terme or passing by, stop by Osteria del Castello for true taste of Italy.
