We walked around Saintes-Maries looking for our kind of restaurant - original, local, tasty food and good value. La Bodega filled the bill completely with its chickpeas in cumin, spicy cod dumplings, sardines and freshly-baked bread. The staff were helpful and we all enthused about the food. The location is great, being alongside the main square and benefiting from the sun at lunchtime. The cosy roadside terrace was lovely and we were entertained by the men playing boules in the Spring sunshine.

We were here during the big Gypsy festival on May 24th and although the town is crazy busy with people everywhere, they sat us down for lunch and everything went well. I ordered the raw oysters for a starter...outstanding...fresh and delicious. I also had at the dourade, which was really good. My wife had the grilled sardines...really nice!

After trying out some restaurants in Saintes Maries de la mer we decided to visit Pizza Las Vegas.Why: No problem to get a seat and no fuss about food, no stress, no showing off.We took a formule with pizza, drink, and ice cream. We chose one Arizona and one Kansas.The Kansas tasted very good. Thin, good pizza base and it seemed to have enough topping for my partner. My Arizona is a four cheese pizza. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of cheese. The only thing that was exchanged was Gorgonzola for Brie without telling me. But pizza was still okay.Personally, I liked the Kansas in the end better and I should have stuck with my first choice :)Service was very attentive, helpful, friendly.We had a good time in Pizza Las Vegas, good meals and without this stress of finding a table later in the evening. Also, they don't try to pretend something to be like other restaurants in Saintes. We left as happy customers.

Considering the sheer amount of tourist traps in the area this is definitely an authentic place to try! Prices are extremely reasonable. Had the suggested menu with Seafood, fries, salad and dessert for 14 eu per person. It's not high cuisine but a very family-like restaurant. everything is very informal, from the menu to the staff - so don't complain if they've run out of dough for the pizza and enjoy this true French-Italian experience for what it is

Great food, great service and a very nice bottle of rose.My wife and I ate here after being a little unsure having seen the place empty the previous night. However our concerns were quickly dispelled with some great service from the owner. Huge bowl of mussels for my wife and fabulous duck for myself. Can't believe this place isn't higher up the rankings for Saintes Maries de la MerMERCI BEAUCOUP, il n'y a que 2 ANS QUE NOUS AVONS REPRIS LE RESTAURANT donc voila pourquoi nous ne sommes pas encore en haut du classement , mais grace a des personnes sympatique comme vous nous y arriverons, encore merci pour ce bel avis;
