We spent a good five minutes earlier in the morning perusing the menu outside, a yard away from what we then learned was probably the owner tidying up the flower pots outside. Checked for the opening times, 12:30-14:30. Went back at 13:59 to an almost empty place: inside the man seen earlier tending the flowers, and a waitress. Asked the waitress whether it was ok to have lunch, she makes a face and opens the door to the kitchen, the man intervenes to tell her (not us!) that it was too late for lunch. Worth adding that the town looked pretty deserted, so I would have imagined they would have appreciated the opportunity to get some custom. Oh, and a smile costs nothing. In the end glad they did not let us in, as with this attitude I cannot imagine this would have been an enjoyable lunch.ricordo benissimo i signori, entrati per pranzare alle 14,15, ma ricordo loro che se si vuole pranzare in un ristorante in un orario vicino all ora di chiusura è meglio prenotare, meglio farsi un esame di coscenza prima di dare della non professionalità agli altri, tanto che per demonizzarci hanno fatto ben due recensioniPrimo un locale a mio parere si giudica dopo aver assaggiato il cibo, e mi auguro che in futuro ci siano siti per poter recensire anche altre professioni, così che altri possano essere giudicati allo stesso modo, chi è senza peccato scagli la prima pietra... ma poi non nasconda la mano dietro ad un profilo.per quanto ci riguarda, 20 anni oramai sono passati da quando abbiamo aperto e sicuramente abbiamo molto da imparare ma per fortuna non tutti hanno qualcosa da insegnarci, buona vita

Located at the base of the small ski resort Col de Joux, the Etoile de Neige offers a good menu of typical Asota valley foods, polenta, sausage, game stew, cheeses and so on. We enjoyed our meal on the terrace under the sun watching a few skiers in spring skiing conditions. Inside the restaurant has great atmosphere with wood stove, wooden tables, carvings and a great looking bar. Everything is very cosy. It's a winding but scenic drive drive up the mountain from Saint Vincent but worth the visit for a nice meal even if you don't ski.

Nice looking restaurant with good menu. However I found the food pretty poor for Italy. It takes something to serve up indifferent, reheated pasta, which was distinctly cold in patches, and served on cold plates. Similarly, my main course faggotina was not hot either, and it all therefore tasted rather stodgy. Maybe I was just unlucky given other reviews, but I expected hotter, fresher food than I got.

Small and non descript locale, but everything right, and friendly, good vibes. The food was simple yet extraordinarily well prepared, we ordered a tagliatelle with truffles, that were very early for the season. Strange weather, very hot with breaks of downpours, made for early truffles. The tagliatelle very much al dente, and perfectly 'mantecati ' without dripping in sauce, an amazing taste and result, perfectly paired with a light and reasonably priced Barbera. A real surprise, of a find, outstanding food, service and reasonably priced. Just doing it all well

A unique place that lays its foundations in the Roman era Archeological digs in Saint-Vincent have brought to light a big Roman thermal bath, situated under the Church. Since the building is located near a Roman road, it is assumed that it was a âMansioâ.
We spent there two nice evenings with delicious food and good wine in a friendly atmosphere. For us the best restaurant in Saint Vincent. Greetings for sommelier :)

From the moment you get the the excellent breads and the 'amuse bouche', which is in fact a whole dish filled with delicacies prepared with a variety of techniques, ranging from tempura to a spherification of tomato, you realise you're in for a good experience. The menu reads very well and you want to try everything, but we were in for a light dinner and we limited ourselves to first/starter and main. Cappelletti pasta with ossobuco had a very good filling and sauce (pasta slightly brittle). Moelleux of asparagus was a refined and flavoursome starter. The mains were great: I've eaten many ducks, but this breast was one of the deepest tasting and best cooked I've tried this year. The accompanying meatball would also have been perfect except for a bit of overcooking which reduced moistness. The artichokes going with it however were ideal. And a lamb featured again good and nicely cooked produce, but what elevated this dish were the garnishes, including dates, dried roses and a chickpea puree (described as hummous though I don't think there was any tahini). We skipped desserts, but with our tea excellent petit fours were offered which promise well for the patisserie section... Beside the quality of the produce and the technique, there's a pleasant sense of generosity in this restaurant. The room is warm and impressive and tastefully decorated, in a former granary. Service is competent and polite. Food prices represent quite good value for money considering the quality (and even the quantity, which is higher than average for restaurants of this quality). A place to return to at the next opportunity.

On the main street in Saint Vincent, an easy reach wherever you stay in this small town. Excellent service from when we stepped in, got a nice table. The restaurant is cozy, in a perhaps semi-modern way. We sat down, enjoyed it, and dtarted selecting our dinners. For my starter I went gor a selection of local cheeses, with honey, syrup and two chutneys. Very good. Main: Grilled Wild Boar, excellent! Served with marinated cabbage, which is a brilliant companion to the perfect boar. Wine: a local Fumin, which seems to be the typical Aosta Valley grape. Strong in taste, balanced, not too high tannins, very drinkable and an excellent companion to cheese, as well as wild meat. I was very happy with the meal, the service and actually everything, and based on our experiency I dare recommend Le Petit Bijou as a very good dinner alternative in Saint Vincent.

We got several recommendations about this restaurant, we tried one evening but they were fully booked what raised our expectations. We ate several dishes of beef in various sauces, all came medium-rare mine was covered by arogola leaves and Parmesan, it was ok but not more, my dearest had the blue cheese sauce but the meat was too under done for her so she returned it to the kitchen, our friend had the red wine sauce and his dearest had the capresa salad and the polenta everything was ok but maybe the expectation was too high because i5 was not more than ok....

The dining room is spacious and bright with large windows directly overlooking the lake. The pine panelling, the antique wooden beam ceiling and the finest decoration make the atmosphere warm and cosy. The restaurant is open to external guests and is famous
This wooden alpine atmosphere restaurant offers great meals at a reasonable price. The view is great overlooking a lake. Having taken for primi the taglioni with ragu di capriolo and for secondi the Carbonade, I can assure you this was worth to drive up there from St Vincent where we stayed (although this may be a scary drive night time for those not used to mountainous roads).
