Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Saint Simons Island. Enveloped by expansive beaches, moss-draped oaks, and salt marshes, Saint Simons Island, part of the Golden Isles chain near Brunswick, is a nearly 18 square mile island, once dominated by rice and cotton plantations. Today, it’s a recreation wonderland with superb championship golf courses, miles of bicycle paths, great fishing, historic sites, and excellent restaurants. If you love golf, you’ll love Saint Simons Island, which is home to the 18-hole King and Prince Golf Course and 27-hole Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort. Nearby are 234 more holes of golf at popular spots like the 63-hole Jekyll Island Golf Club and 36-hole Sea Island Golf Club. Anglers have lots of opportunities to fish in the rivers, tidal creeks, sounds and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll find charters and guides at the Golden Isles Marina, and you can also fish off the St. Simons Island Pier and surf cast on stretches of beach on the island’s north end. For such a compact island, Saint Simons is brimming with historic sites. Don’t miss the Saint Simons Lighthouse, where you can climb the 129 steps for a magnificent view of the island; the Fort Frederica National Monument, which has remnants of the British fort built in the 1700s; and the Bloody Marsh Battle Site, where the Spanish defeated the British in 1742.

A small, family-owned and operated pizza place. We offer carry out, and delivery service. Casual atmosphere with picnic tables and a couple of tables with chairs if you would like to eat here, however, orders are placed at the counter. Outdoor seating ava
July, 2017. We were all at the beach in ST. Simons. 10 in all. We had lunch but all of a sudden all the kids wanted pizza. No one could agree on which popular pizza chain. My son remembered passing Jonesy's near Mallory Square. Making a decision to go there was very positive. We called it in, order was ready in 20 minutes and all the kids said it was the best they ever ate. If a pizza loving kid says its good, its good. Thumbs up!!!

Cj's "Deep Dish" would be right at home in Brooklyn. Joint is tiny, eclectic, busy - ok, a wee bit hectic - but the team never missed a beat. Good selection of beer & wine, by the glass and bottle. We had a medium Deep Dish & bottle of very nice Chianti and were out of there for $35.00 minus tip. A city-boy comment: Cj's "Deep Dish" is more of an NYC 'Sicilian' pie than Chicago style. (For my money, the outstanding choice!!) Graham - the Pizza Master - runs a tight ship, doesn't miss a stroke including the thru-the-pickup-window fist bump & "THANK YOU" Coming-n-going this is a place not-to-miss. By-the-by, if you are lucky enough to have Stephanie as your server, you've hit the jackpot. Be advised, Rome was not built in a day, Cj's masterpieces take time as well...all is definitely worth the wait!!!

My boyfriend and I ate here to celebrate Valentineâs Day this year. It was our first time eating here, but it definitely wonât be our last! We started off with the ravioli appetizer which was fantastic. We both got the lasagna for our entrees and it was delicious! I also had the french onion soup, which was fantastic as well! We ended our meal with the salted caramel gelato and it was so creamy and rich! An added plus about this restaurant is that the prices are very reasonable. My boyfriend and I had a great dinner (all three courses + tip) for under $70. I definitely recommend this restaurant for great food and great service!

My boyfriend and I ate here for our anniversary this year. We have been wanting to try it for a while, and after hearing so many good reviews finally decided to try it. We both got a beef empanada and they were fantastic! Would seriously go back just for these. We also got the skirt steak which was tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. Itâs a small restaurant, but very laid back and cozy. I think we will definitely be coming back in the future!

I made reservations for our family of four adults and specified that we would be celebrating a birthday. We have had wonderful meals at Tramiciâs but this was a disaster. The time frame between getting our cocktails and salads was about 5 minutes and another 5 minutes our meals came out. There was literally no room on the table for all of this. We felt very rushed. We did order dessert, but no mention of birthday . Disappointing.

The staff is truly wonderful, but it is the food that will keep you coming back. Well, ok, it's both the food and the staff, but the food really is that good. With an open kitchen, you will see the crew preparing your pizza, The toppings are generous, the crust is delicious, and the sauce is Sal's family secret. Yes, there really is a Sal and it's a wonderful highlight to the meal if you get the chance to meet him.In addition to a pizza, we shared an order of fried cheese ravioli which comes with a dish of fresh marinara sauce and sprinkled with chives, and they were absolutely delicious. You have a selection of wine, beer and soft drinks, and on Friday and Saturday nights, expect a wait for your table.A visit to Saint Simons Island isn't complete without dining at Sal's Neighborhood Pizzeria.
