Great location and very friendly service however the food was out of sync. I had a meat dish of gorgonzola wrapped in radicchio leaves rolled into what looked and tasted like a boiled grey thin beef cutlet surrounded by slimy porcini mushrooms. No thank you. That was the main course. The starter looked good on the menu but was essentially some overly thick cornmeal pancakes with various toppings like, blood sausage, and sweating lardo, sprinkled with icing sugar !There is an obvious attempt to rework traditional vallee d'asota foods into something else however it fails to do the business. Among our group of four nobody thought the food passed muster, so enjoy the many free home-made digestivos and enjoy the views. Bear in mind though that a lunch for four with starters, main course, bottle of proseco, half litre of house wine , a bottle of sparkling water and four coffees cost us 130 euros.

Our group of four arrived too late on a rainy cold afternoon for hot food because the kitchen was closed however happily the owner put together a fantastic cold lunch. Locally made cheeses, meats, salads and stuffed peppers, breads and sauces arrayed on four large wooden platters were placed before us. Essentially the food was more like an anti-pasta but typical of the Valle d'Aosta region; cheeses comprised Fontina, tomas served with sweet fruit, and fresh goat cheese; salamis, sausages, cappicolo, prosciutto, and lardo served with marrons glaces (sweetened chestnuts). There were stuffed and pickled peppers, artichoke hearts, mixed greens and pickled vegetables. It was delicious and more than enough for all of us. The atmosphere in the cafe bar is warm and folksy. I can't vouch for the cooked meals from the kitchen but I will give this restaurant a thumbs up for accommodating us with a very tasty lunch. Add a couple large beers, soft drinks and coffees the total bill came to 55 euros.

My family and I made a late reservation after a day on the road! Barely speaking French or Italian, we called for a reservation. We showed up and did not want to leave! The wood working in the building was done by the owner! The books that are for sale are published by the owner Publising House! The wine is local, beer is cold and food id delicious! This place was one of our favorites! The husband and wife duo offered such warm service and farm to fork food! We drank wine, we drank beer and ate food that is totally unforgetable! We purchased a whel of the blue cheese, 2 bottles of wine all to bring back to North America. Although we (owners and I) needed Google Translate to communicate we were fast friends. We adore this couple, appreciated the effort that went into their menu and careful menu choices. The experience we shared as family at this restaurant will stick with us forever. We will be back to this place! Off the beaten path and worth the trip.

A great surprise, authentic local cuisine in a rustic small hotel and mountain hamlet. You are literally at the top of the world with stunning views of the valley and Mont Blanc, what an amazing location, the only challenge was to get there which can be quite daunting as it is a windy, steep mountain road, ride about 45 mins from Courmayeur. Definitely worth the journey though, great local dishes and wine selection from the valley and amazing service from a very experienced manager and staff. We would definitely go back, next time we re in Aosta.

We spent a few days nearby and visited this restaurant several times. The outdoor area is beautiful, offering the choice of a seat in the sun or a rest in the shade. I've never drunk blueberry juice before and it was delicious! The evening menu is great too. We had a selection of local specialties as a starter, the highlights being a delicious leek tart and a vegetarian sausage made with beetroot. One plate is plenty for two, if you want to have room left for the main courses, which are generous. My husband ordered pork one day and was presented with a joint that would feed four for Sunday lunch in the UK.As has been said elsewhere here, the selection of desserts is very good as well. making for an excellent meal all round. The husband and wife who are the chef and the waitress are very friendly and helpful. This being a bilingual area they spoke both Italian ad French and also some English. We felt really at home and hope to come back soon.

Was staying in the hotel above and the restaurant below is truly exceptional. Beatrice is super professional and the ever-changing menu of regional specials is simply outstanding. We went for a selection of cured meats & salamis for antipasti and the blue Aosta cheese gnocchi for primi. This was complemented by an excellent local red wine. The fruit sorbet dessert was beautifully presented and very light. I wish I'd had the opportunity to eat here more than just the once. It's worth going back to Arvier just to eat your way through the whole menu!

Marco and Susi will welcome you in their local to sample breakfast of muffins and homemade cakes, cocktails with frivolity, while in the restaurant tasty dishes created with raw materials km 0, interpreted in a modern and Pop.
We came to this restaurant through a local hint. Cooking is really excellent, professional and creative. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. Service caring and attentive. We'll be back, hopefully!

We dined here on our first night in Aosta. The food, wine and service was great. The menu varies to suit locally available fresh produce. Lovely central location and alfresco dining added to the overall experience. Prices very reasonable. Certainly worth a visit.
