After being refused entry to seven german restaurants which were full we decided to try this little half empty Italian restaurant in a cellar. I was pleasantly surprised, I had tortellini and it was amazing. The staff were attentive and pretty good, well worth a look if you need a break from german.

The pizzas are likely the best in town. They have a new menu, a change of ownership I think but it still has a good variety of Italian and local dishes. The salads are huge and very tasty.

Just what one needs after a hard days walk. Big and good pizzas and savoury pastas. Nice outside terrace and friendly staff.

Delicious pizza, homemade Tiramisu and apricot schnapps. Comfortable surroundings and friendly service - highly recommended.
Where to eat Diner food in Riezlern: The Best Restaurants and Bars

What a lousy place! Runned by crooks and a maffia family! Never ever visit this place while you are in Riezlern, Austria. Go to the only other place to eat a proper pizza, called Trentino! Today we visited Al Caminetto with 2 families including 4 children. Once we ordered some pizza and some pasta the youngest waiter came to our table telling that there could only be served small pizza's (33 cm) in stead of big pizza's (40 cm). After changing the order into, the smaller pizza's, it wasn't possible to order any size of pizza anymore. There seemed to be a problem with the only pizza maker in this joint. Some lousy and cheap excuses were made by the staff and we could order something else. Not even a word of this fake pizza maker or a gesture to their guests, excuses were made and that was it. Once we had to pay, we made a comment like the drinks are for free, right? Even this hint that they could still manage the problem (which was solely and only created by theirselves) was not understanded by this overheated family who wants to run a bussiness, but fail poorly in doing so. We told them that they should tell their guest when entering the restaurant that people should be informed immediately and not when they were put to their assigned table. The fake pizza maker seem to be the boss of this so called restaurant and his complete family is working for him, frightened for the actions he and probably his wife will take to the staff (also family). When we made the comment of the free drinks, the wife of the boss ran out the kitchen like a raging bull asking if we had any problem! We told them that we pay and would leave and never ever come back to this place. So people be smart, if you do want to have a fair treatment, go to Trentinto and not to Al Caminetto. Unless you like to be yelled at as a paying customers!

This restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent - but not cheap. a good house wine was available only the grappa offered was a little below the standard expected after such a good meal. They did not quite get my steak "english" but it was very close and tasted really good. Deserts looked good but a little too flashy for my tastes.
