The restaurant is one of best tipical place for good food and wine since the end of 800's. Traditinal dishes, from Rieti and abroad, are served . Our pasta is all hand made, and the whest's local varieties are stone-ground. Vegetables and mets are from Rieti
Forget the extensive menu outside -- forget the menu altogether: the waiter eventually comes to your table and tells you the three pasta dishes they have, two with meat. Fish? Cod with potatoes and vegetables. Everyone was eating meat and potatoes. The two pasta dishes my wife and I had, served about an hour after we entered, just the third table occupied, were OK, not great. The fourth table, arriving half an hour after we came in, all got their pasta dishes -- two the same we had ordered -- before we did. Bread? Extra charge. After the meal, would you like salad? Sure. They were fine, nothing special. We'll try someplace else next time.

The oldest Restaurant in Rieti, since 1910! Local food, Italian dishes and superior quality meat and cold cuts. Home made pasta and best desserts. Nice garden, car park, free wi-fi, free camper area.
After living in Italy for over a year this is the best lunch I have had. The real highlight was La Bobba which is a pepper, vegetables, salami on toasted bread. The house starter was very good. All the food was fantastic. The outdoor seating was superb. I will definitely go back.Thank you so much for your review, We're very proud of it! The appetizer you ate was "La Bomba", which is the Italian for "The Bomb", with typical salami and cheese from southern Italy (Calabria). We're waiting you back soon, and dont forget to try our pepper dishes from "The Chili Pepper Workshop" (Officina del Peperoncino)!!! Our best regards

This was our favourite restaurant during our few daysâ stay in Rieti, the one we chose to return to for our last night. Excellent freshly prepared food and a decent wine selection. Popular with locals as it was busy both evenings we visited. No particular stand-out dishes to mention, the waiter (who often is also the owner!) reads out for 4 or 5 sections for each course and none missed the mark.

The trip up the hill to la Foresta, just outside Rieti, requires faith the restaurant does exist â SatNav directions are hopelessly inaccurate. It is there and very popular too, a large restaurant with one of the longest wine lists I have ever seen (get recommendations from your waiter). Food generally excellent with a fried âtempuraâ style veg selection a particular highlight. A wide ranging menu covers fish, meat and pasta choices.

Great fish restaurant with very kind staff. Very willing to explain the menu in English.Delicious food very well prepared. We loved the carpaccio of different kinds of fish, the Bacala and the Barozzi cake for desert.Wonderful place and against affordable prices.

recommended by friends, this easy to reach osteria within the walls of Rieti was a wonderful find. passing through a narrow access point on the medieval walls of Rieti, was the sweetest little restaurant owned and run by young sisters. the food was plentiful, pleasing to the eye and palate. the ricotta dessert was to die for.

Ristorante a conduzione familiare. Gestito oggi dalla quarta generazione. Cucina tradizionale con materie prime del territorio. Paste fatte a mano dalla proprietaria. Ricerca nelle verdure e nelle carni. Olio di produzione propria
Maybe not easy to find, but it's worth the effort. The owner will be glad to suggest the day's speciality (which are all excellent) and which (local) wine goes with it. All at very affordable prices. I will surely visit again if I get the chance.

Visited the restaurant based on previous reviews and have no regrets at all. The restaurant sign is discrete to the point of non-existence, the name printed on an A4 sheet inside the front door. It is however a spacious, modern and very popular place with locals. This restaurant is all about seafood, mainly shrimp / crab / lobster / mussels / prawns. Choose the mixed antipasti and see huge plates of delicious food arrive in a never ending stream. We congratulated ourselves on finishing when another two plates turned up! After that the pasta with lobster and prawn nearly finished us off, in the best possible way. The main tip here is not to overâorder! The house white wine washes this all down very pleasantly.

This is a lovely little family restaurant. I felt like we had really really delicious home cooked food. Dishes that I had never had before, so simple yet so delicious. We told the chef/ restaurant owner that we didn't really know what to order but wanted to try a few things. He brought out 3 different pasta dishes, soooooo good! And a meatloaf dish. He would have brought out dessert but we were stuffed! Whatever olive oil he used was also delicious. You could taste the flavor yet it did not overpower.I would definitely go back and would recommend this place when looking for places to eat in Rieti. I would call and book, and if you drive you can give the owner your licence plate number so that you can enter the restricted historical center where the restaurant is located. He was incredibly accommodating and made what we asked for for our 1.5 yr old daughter and very understanding about bringing the bill quick as our kid started to get tired and a little cranky by the end of our delicious meal. All in all an excellent food and dining experience. The owner is really gracious and accommodating which makes the experience all the more better considering Italy is not known for great customer service. But this place doesn't have that problem.
