Things to do in Radicofani
Complimenti Grazie e a Presto

While walking the Via Francigena, we were fortunate to stay at Casa Tonietti, and visit the Fortress/Castle and eat and drink at Restaurant Casa Tonietti. The lodging - incredible! The food and dining at Casa Tonietti and Restaurant Tonietti. The grilled steaks, pasta, salad (read Tuscan Bread and more)! Everything thing was special, warm, and fun. I can't wait to return!

No menu and just like eating at grandma's house! Wonderful pici with ragu or all'aglione (tomato sauce with garlic) and lamb in very tasty sauce

La Torre is probably the least known of the Radicofani restaurants. We stopped in for lunch with another couple and were amazed at the quality and preparation. Stared with the soup of the day - Zuppa di funghi; with fresh porcini mushrooms. Followed by two pici dishes - one with a cinghiale ragu; the other with aglione, and a platter of gnocchi - all of the pasta was made "fatto a mano" in their kitchen. Undaunted, we pressed on to the secondi - cinghiale, congilio fritte and agnello fritte with several contorni. Everything was outstanding. With two bottles of vino di casa, lunch was 20 euros each. Highly recommended.

Had pizza from here but the crust was slightly burnt. Other wise good thin crust pizza. Took a bit of time but most good food does.

The restaurant counts about 80 seats and offers Tuscan cuisine and grilled meats, all with natural ingredients promoting local products.Pasta and desserts are homemade. The owner also offers traditional dishes from Liguria, her native land, menu of fish:
My friend and I were headed to Bagni S. Filippo today and passed Contignano on the way. We stopped on a whim at the Ristorante La Fattoria. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We were seated out back under an umbrella. We ordered chicken scallopini with the mixed salad. The chicken was fresh and very tasty, not like typical American chicken. The salad dressing was wonderful and the BREAD was the BEST we have had in Italy by far. Wow was it good. The dessert was a concoction suggested by the waitress with peaches, ice cream, chocolate and a cookie on top. Yum. The whole meal with wine and coffee was 17 euros, a very good value. This is a great place for lunch and don't forget to take your bathing suit and check out the spa at Bagni S. Filippo afterwards.Grazie mille signore, sono molto contenta che siete state bene, spero di vedervi ancora nel mio ristorante , anche avervi ospiti nell' albergo. Ciao Enza

What a delightful village. This bar is simpatico, the coffee intense and the panorama glorious. We only went there because the Cassia was blocked because of a tunnel collapse. We are so pleased we took the time to look around

Steak house / bar inside the park off the fortress.
After climbing up to visit the Castillo we were pleasantly surprised to find this lovely cafe/ restaurant. We stopped for a drink before exploring the castle, which I had to say was very impressive with amazing 360d views and then decided to have lunch there. The food was simple homemade Tuscan fare, delicious and enough choice to satisfy our very fussy 8 and 11 yr old boys! The service was friendly and we didn't struggle as they all spoke very good English! We would definitely recommend a stop here!

In a restaurant labelled as "nouvelle cuisine" you usually have large dishes with little food inside. Here the dishes are equally large, but full of excellent traditional cuisine. Do not come here if you are following a diet. Prices more than reasonable.

This restaurant came recommended by the owners of the accommodation we were staying in. We booked a table and were pleased to learn that the chef/owner spoke English. On arrival our party was made to feel very welcome and the chef came out to speak to us and to suggest a starter course of antipasti to share. We readily agreed and then also ordered our mains etc. The antipasti was the best I have ever enjoyed in Italy or elsewhere. There was so much to choose from that we all felt we need not have ordered anything else. The pasta course was also delicious and the desserts too. The next day the chef sent a message hoping that we had enjoyed our meal which I thought was a very nice touch. A lovely experience and a lovely meal-thank you.
