Went for a business lunch. Greast surprise. All dishes ordered were made to perfection with large portions and good service. The place is set in an old San José house and it is welcoming. It has private parking on the side. Came here because 2 people of our group have gluten issues. There were plenty of choices for them. We all enjoyed. We will be back.

Lo Spago was a good authentic Italian Restaurant and since that is my favourite it was no surprise I would be a little more critical of the food, the wine and the desserts. We were greeted by friendly staff, sat immediately and able to order some good Chianti. The pasta choice were plentiful and the wait staff were more than willing to explain whatever you needed them to. We got our meals and were feeling pretty good about our choices when I saw something that made me so jealous. The people at the next table had order pasta in a cheese cream sauce. No big deal right? Wrong, the staff had brought over a side table upon which sat a full round of Parmigiano cheese, and in one hand he held a torch. He was mixing something up (I assume some cream), and scraping cheese off as he melted it from the middle of what can only be called a giant cheese bowl. Yes, I said it, he was mixing the sauce up right in the Parmigiano cheese itself. Then he tosses in the pasta and mixes it around as well. He swirls and mixes and then finally pulls it out and plates it. My mouth is watering just thinking of it, still do not know what it was called but I want to try it. Okay, so for dessert, they did not have my favourite Bachio Negro, but they did have Tartufo which was almost as good and excellent as far as desserts go. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the Italian food, the atmosphere and the desserts.

This is our favorite place to eat when visiting our friends in Atenas. Everything is good and with an extensive menu of mouthwatering choices, it never gets old. We find ourselves jumping in the car to go every couple days. Getting ready to go again for dinner and just remembered to write this review. :)

After five days of rain I felt somehow frustrated, all travel equipment was moist. I was so happy to find this restaurant with excellent food. I had pasta arrabiata and a pizza. After the authentic italian food I felt so much better. I also liked the lemonade with mint, the good wifi connection and the super friendly service. Lonely Planet's Top choice-featuring thin crust Italian style handmade pizza, and tropical ice cream. Family Friendly-Open air, casual dining Come for lunch, stay for dinner.
Great pizza, cracker thin crust, so good. Delicious homemade ice cream. Great for adults, and most importantly, rave reviews from the kids. Truly a hidden gem. When you go, be sure to ask for Moses. Hell take great care of you, and if youâre interested heâll even take you fishing in Arenal. The highlight of our visit was after we finished our meal. We were walking around the grounds, admiring the coffee and cacao trees, when we came upon the grounds keeper and local horticulture specialist Juan. He gave us a personal tour of the fields he himself manicured. Basil and oregano bushes, banana trees, pineapple plants, guava trees, lemon plants, and many, many more gorgeous and fragrant fauna. It was a special and unexpected moment. The food, the ice cream, and the passion for all things Tico. Perfect.

Cafe Mediterraneo, Restaurant & Pizzeria, is a familiar place, but also very romantic, very cozy with the best view of our Majestic Arenal Volcano, here you can try a Great Cappuccino, an excellent Italian pizza, Pasta, Salad, accompanied with a glass of
My husband and I had caprese for an appetizer and the Mediterranean Supreme pizza for dinner. We asked to hold the mushrooms and sub jalapenos on our pizza and our server Alexander made sure our pizza was perfect. His service was outstanding, with an exhilarating desert presentation of our banana flambe for dessert. The pizza crust was thin, the olive oil on the table was delicious, the house bread rolls incredibly delicate and lemoncello served in chilled glasses really topped it off. Mucho gusto!

We took a group of our collaborators for lunch to the Market today. We had coordinated some details beforehand but definitely it was thanks to Priscilla's attention and amazing service that we had such a pleasant experience. The food was delicious, service was great, prompt, and super courteous. Even having a vegan person have her lunch BTO, everything was seamless. This has been a nightmare at other places but most certainly not here. Thanks Priscilla!Dear Adrian,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of The Market. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.

Enjoy incredible Italian gastronomy and wonderful wines at Pimento. Dine in a cosy Italian style atmosphere accented by wood floors and a brick grotto ceiling. The traditional Italian menu offers a variety of fresh homemade pastas, risottos, fresh seafood
Cristian was our waiter and provide us with warm and pleasant set. The food was wonderful. The only request I have is to NOT microwave the bread as they did and to serve real butter in lieu of the artificial butter made with rapeseed oil. Dear Thomas,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of Pimento. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.
