The restaurant opened on June 7, 2004 was named by Via Imperatore, thanks to historical research on a street where the same place is located, on Rua da República. Find out that in the past the name of the street was Emperor's Street. Surprised by this cur
Recommended this place by a local guide and it lived up to expectations. Unfortunately was closed on weekend, but third time lucky we went back during the week and glad we did! Food was amazing, best buffet I've ever eaten from. Separate grill for all the meat and it kept on coming, delivered right to table! Highly recommend to all!

I really can't understand the success of this family restaurant in Porto Alegre. It's a kind of "all you can eat" and it calls itself a Galeteria (typical roasted chicken brought by Italian immigrants). You can find salads, beef and pork, chicken and pasta. The problem is that sauces are poorly prepared, meat is poorly seasoned. The galeto is just a detail lost among all that food. Service otherwise is good and the ambient is ok. If you go on weekends, be prepared to wait for one hour or more for a table.

This is one of the old style galeto in Porto Alegre. The place is crowded and noisy, mostly due to their good meal quality. They feature the traditional way to present barbecued chicken followed by italian immigration habits side dishes.Service is very good, performed by owner's family

I was looking for a different place, an alternative to the conventional pizzas at the mainstream neighborhoods. Attracted by the good reviews, I tried the Bistro. It is located in a charming historical street in one of the old houses. The place is small - not so quiet that night because there was a big birthday party going on - with a vintage style, an old turntable where you can choose a LP and play it there. Pizzas are very good, served in a wood table cutted in squares with the size of a bite. Staff is very friendly and make you feel at home.

Some friends from Porto Alegre brought my husband and I to the Raven Restaurant at the "Cidade Baixa" a bohemian neighbourhood, in Porto Alegre. The place reminds an old European tavern and its located in a nice renovated old house from that area.It was our first time going to this restaurant but I am sure it will not be the last. Their cuisine is outstanding. The chef is Julio Cefis, an Argentinian that migrated to Brazil and is using all his cooking experience to offer high quality steaks with Brazilian ingredients for side dishes prepared in a delicious way.I had the entrecot Raven, which is accompanied by a pure of "mandioquinha" (a type of root similar to manioc) and grilled tomatoes. It was really goo! They have also a good wine list and a friendly and good service. The chef likes to go around the tables to greet costumers and he is a good chat.
