We brought a bottle of wine in with us and sat down. Waiter came and asked how many people need wine glasses. Really enjoy a BYO!Had fried calamari which was good served on some greens.A nicely crafted salad came with the entrée.Everyone enjoyed their salad and entrees. There was a large party in the other room which had a slight distraction from our service but my expectations are higher than most.

Alfredoâs is what a restaurant should be; consistently excellent quality. Itâs small and somewhat cramped, but the great food, good service and friendliness will more than make up for the close quarters. The menu is comprehensive enough to satisfy everyoneâs cravings. The quality and quantity and appearance of the food are always very satisfying. Try the âspecialsâ and you wonât be disappointed. Alfredoâs is a genuine go-to local favorite.

Assaggi e Vino at Marcello's is a new modern concept with the same great food and ingredients. Now we offer both small and large plates so now you can taste (assaggi) a bunch of different dishes for the same price! Our wine bar features wines from every r
We were a large group that assembled after a burial. Although arrangements had been made for a 12:30 arrival, we were finished with burial much earlier. We thought we'd have to kill time since they did not even open until noon. They opened their doors early and ushered us inside. They put together a pasta course for everyone and then we ordered off the menu to finish out our meal. The beef short ribs and vegetables were wonderful, as were the homemade meatballs that were their special for the day. Their desserts were wonderful. I have not had cannoli or tiramisu this good in a long time. The espresso and cappuccino finished out the meal. The wines were a wonderful Chianti and a Pinot Grigio They were also so kind. We had a private space to assemble and we were made to feel at home which our weary souls needed. I never felt rushed and we were able to comfort one another for as long as we needed. If they did this for us, I would think they could do it for large groups as well as family dinner or even "dates".

Roccos has been a staple of New City for years. To start, the staff is incredible always warm and welcoming making you feel at home. The front of the restaurant provides you with a traditional pizzaria in the case you were looking for a quick slice. The are famous for their large slices and loaded toppings. Some of my favorites include the salad slice, chicken marsala, and chicken bacon ranch. If you are looking for something lighter you can never go wrong with their margarita with the fresh basil and mozzarella. The dining room provides lots of room for families to get together and have a great Italian feast. Always check their specials as they often offer great platters such as stuffed shrimp, stuffed sole and various other specialty plates. The main menu is quite extensive offering many options of chicken plates, seafood, veal and pastas. Over the years I have come to find my favorite dish "the chicken Michelangelo" which is a heaping portion of chicken parm and two pieces of their eggplant rolantini. I promise you you will not be disappointed. The entrees also include a nice house salad and a side of pasta and of course Roccos famous garlic Balls!!!! . I highly recommend the penne vodka! The portions are not just tasty but massive and when going there I am just as excited knowing I will soon have delicious leftovers as I am to actually have the first meal! All in all it is an awesome family restaurant that we will continue to enjoy going to for years to come

Traveling south from West Point, needed a quick stop before heading NYC area traffic. What a great find! Salad was huge, very fresh, basic pizza gigantic NYC style. Meatball parmigiana subs excellent. Had to try the Nutella pizza for dessert(!). Really a treat!Everything looked like the real thing; definitely one of the better anywhere, a great stop along the way.

Our hiking group NHOC did maintenance on 2 miles of Harriman State Park. Temperature:88 degrees. When we finished, we were hungry. Decided to check out Avanti. Gerry was so efficient and nice to serve our hungry, hot and tired group. We are from Long Island and not sure how great the pizza would be. It was DELICIOUS. Thank you Gerry for your kindness and delicious pizza. We will return. OH, the cappucino was so delicious. I am the one that wanted the sugar swizzle and sweet n low. (ha, ha)
