Our mountain chalet is situated in a wonderful location 7 km from Valle di Cadore in the middle of nature. Incredible views of the Dolomites, untouched forest and local cuisine.
great landscape, amazing food and cozy environment is just what you need to spend a great day and everytime I go at Costapiana I experience this. The cook (who's the owner together with her husband) creates dishes with on season ingredients, so you can be sure the food is fresh and just made...and you've got a lot dishes you can choose from too! this place is exactely how every Italian restaurant should be: a great (and affordable) experience.

A mountain hut. It's easy to reach us from Pozzale with different paths. A Beautiful landscape is waiting for you as well as Marchetto family. See you soon at Rifugio Antelao.
We stayed two nights and it was a wonderful, typical rifugio experience. The managers were helpful and nice. The facilities were clean. The food was the standard mountain fare and delicious. Their mixed homemade cheese with polenta was excellent as were the various pastas we tried.

I had lunch today at this place. I was looking for a parmigiana steak, but instead I had this huge calzone. Filled with mushroom and chesse, with raw ham on the top, this was one the best calzone I've ever had. Drink one of their 32 (brand) beer or have a nice glass of wine. It's the perfect combination.

Came twice to this one, and the first time the portions were small but the food was good, service adequate, but it was expensive - 70 Euros for wine/water/antipasti + 1 primi and 1 secondi. Second night the bread came with a gnat sitting on it and the bread was stale, so I replaced it with an adjacent tables bread bowl. The table was empty, BTW. Staff noticed and promptly replaced the bread and took our gnat infested one away. From there the whole experience went downhill, I think because the maitre d was peeved I had rejected his bread plate. Had a similar meal and waited forever for the bill. Finally left leaving adequate cash on the table. Note the waitresses, a pair, are from Ghana and speak perfect English. So the owner sent one of these sweet waitresses after me to collect more Euros. Still no bill was presented and to not hassle this young Ghanaian I just paid it. When I asked her if the owner was a problem child she admitted he is. Never going back and hope this review saves you from a similar experience.

We had a hungry crowd and struggled to find a Monday lunch spot - until we saw La Piazzetta. Easy to park and not a detour if your on a road trip. The service was good and the menu interesting and varied with some seasonal options. English a little patchy and menus only in Italian. Prices were very fair and we left full and happy. Would certainly stop off again.

if on your way to/from Cortina, or any other way, you must stop here. Try as many paninis as you can fit because they are really yummy! and the price is great too.

At Antelao, Marmarole and Sorapiss feet lies La Pausa. An Agriturismo led by Nicola da Forno and Federica Invidia. Federica is a famous local downshifter (have a look at "Meridiani Montagne" May 2013) who I had the luck to get to know many years ago while she was a talented architect. La Pausa is a brand new little welcoming refuge from the mountain trekking around the still pristine eastern Dolomites. After discovering the surroundings and spending a night in one of Pozzale (Tai di Cadore) B&B I gifted me and my friends with a big lunch at la Pausa. Food is freshly cooked and cheeses come from their cows and goats that you can watch chewing the green grass around them.I'll be back for sure!

This is a budget restaurant called " Trattoria" it's good for lorry drivers and workers. The food is ok, what I'd like to suggest them is to improve the menu, for vegetarians and pescatarians, than food is completely missed there, only meats choice.......that's all......
