Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Paraty. Named for a local swamp fish, Paraty sits on Brazil's southeastern coast, 125 miles south of Rio, with the Bocaino Mountains at its back. The small colonial town's center is a national historic monument with well-preserved buildings on its pedestrian-only streets. Take a boat trip out into the bay to the flotillas of islands and coves nearby. Explore sugarcane plantations and hike or take a train through Atlantica Forest. Keep an eye out for the monkeys that roam the cobblestone streets.

Outside this restaurant there is a rare sign of recognition of being a true Italian restaurant abroad, which made us decide to try this restaurant, although there are many Italian-type restaurant around in Paraty. The service was good but rather slow, the restaurant looks nice inside and the food was good, but not very special. Prices are not cheap, so overall we were not fully satisfied.

Nice restaurant situated in the midle of the Brasilian rain forest on the bord of a river and privated gardenThe Swiss Mr Dario Rossera is the chef and owner.
Park your car , and cross the little bridge then a little walk through the nature . Pretty and outdoorsy restaurant with a delicious pasta menu along with meats . I had the mushroom raviolis ...so good! My hubby went for some meat plate , it came with a banana bread crumb side thing , I didn't try the meat but that banana thing was delicious! After we ate we took out little ones down to the river , and there was more nature to explore. Really nice Sunday lunch ( but admittedly a little pricey ).

Small restaurant with a mezzanine floor and a few tables outside. We liked the owner who spoke some English and was very helpful. Food is prepared by him in the open kitchen so you can see it is all freshly done. Our fish dish was lovely and more than large enough for the two of us. Prices were reasonable for what we had. Strange thing - no desserts served.

It was closed for a couple of months but now, it is back on track. The food is good, the service could be better.... If you want to try something really good: Barriga de Porco na Lata... you will love it.

Simple, rustic, beautiful, countryside Italisn place is the heart of the old village in Paraty. The starter alla'italiana is reminisce of our Italian honeymoon, the main dishes we tried were seafood risotto which was a little touristic, not al dente but overall 8/10 and the delicious ricotta spinach ravioli with a breadcrumb pistachio sauce with nutmeg, wow. Large portions, fair prices. Drinks are huge and tasty, give their dolce vita a try.Tiramisu was the only downside, being a tiramisu fan and eating it in Italy a lot I was expecting something similar, instead I got a tiramisu-mousse sort of thing, neither the consistency not the taste matched. But yes, would go here again!

Lugar Charmoso e aconchegante no Centro Histórico de Paraty. Perfeito para um jantar a dois, com amigos ou com a FamÃlia. Servimos pratos elaborados, massas, pizza feita no forno a lenha, vinhos e cervejas artesanais
Great place for pizza and pasta. The service was outstanding and the pizza was some of the best I've eaten in Brazil. The pasta was very good too. Very casual but perfect for couples or friends night out on the town of Paraty. They had good wine by the glass too which can be a rarity in Brazil. We liked it so much we visited twice. Highly recommended.

Paixão pela gastronomia italiana resgatando a tradição dos nossos pratos e das nossas pizzas trazendo em Paraty um novo conceito cozinha italiana "respeito pelas tradições"
We were walking around Centro historico in the late afternoon and we were really hungry after driving straight for 6 hours. We decided to give this restaurant a go as there were not many restaurants opened at that time and boy, we found a gem in the heart of paraty. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The service is great as well. The only suggestion I would like to offer is to take care of cleanliness of the bathroom. If you wanna try Italian food, this is the place to be. Highly recommend this place. Grazie di cuore ! ..anche per il Fred Back sulla pulizia dei bagni ...prenderemo immediatamente provvedimento A presto

Visited here twice during a short stay in Paraty as it came highly recommended. We had super times both days, we opted for the loungers at the bottom of the beach but there are also larger shaded areas for families or couples should they wish. The staff were attentive but in no way pushy which gave both days a very relaxed feel. The food is also excellent for a beach bar, cod balls and the bruschetta both great snacks. The beer was also nice and cold - just as it should be. Would highly recommned. Is only a short walk from the historical centre of Paraty.Good afternoon Jack!Thank you for your rating! And we're glad to hear that you had a pleasant time here with us!Everything we do is very affectionate to our customers! When you return to Brazil, come and visit us again!Hugs from the BalacoBacco family!
