Came with family for a celebration!! Itâs a small. Cozy restaurant with little noise. The walls were decorated with art. Parking is on the street. For appetizers we shared baked clams, fried calamari, and filled octopus. Our 9 year old is an octopus lover. They were all good including the crust bread served with olive oil and capers. For entrees we enjoyed steak, home made spaghetti with mixed seafood, Cheyenne Recast with mashed potatoes, chicken fingers (for a little girl). All were delicious! For dessert we enjoyed ice cream and tartufo. The pistachio tartufo and amaretto tartufo weâre unusual and very good. Service was excellent.
We (the family) ordered two pizzas yesterday for take out! The pizzas were still hot when we got the home and everyone loved the crispy crust, the loads of cheese and ample amounts of pepperoni and mushrooms. We will order again soon!

Great Italian food and pizza. Everything is good there. I typically order pizza for pizza night. Although there are many excellent dishes, my personal favorite is File of Sole Franchese.

THE STORY OF LENNYâS: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years âMy father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at âLennyâs
Lenny's was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a fantastic seafood restaurant. Lenny's is a fish factory- large portions of average food. More careful attention to presentation and preparations would helpWe are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your dining experience here. Your feedback is important to us. Please know that we have been in business for over 40 years because of our attention to the quality of our food and service. It is unfortunate that this did not show through on your visit. We hope you consider another one.

First, I am compelled to critique the above review as I feel it is my civic duty. I think it is disgusting how some people can throw around such derogatory terms like "racist" without any evidence. I truly wonder if those looking to be offended at every turn truly realize that when they see someone that is not their own skin tone and assume that they are racist because they had an allegedly poor experience -- that makes THEM the racist... Second, Vetro is owned by Italians. I think people would do better to learn American history and recognize how Italians were oppressed when they came to this country as well. One of the largest public lynchings in American history was of Italian Americans. Yet, they're going to be prejudice of Indian people or create a business that is "racist"? Use your head. Third, I have been to Vetro probably close to 60 times. There is always a very diverse group of people at the restaurant and just the other day we joined tables with a fabulous black family that were regulars and had children around the same age as ours. We had a BALL. Amazing how fun people can have when they aren't looking for racism everywhere....Fourth, I have had or been to birthday parties here, baby showers here, breakfast with Santa here.. The list goes on. The staff is always super professional and food never disappoints. Ever. If I was ever in a poor sitting area or asked for anything, they always willingly complied. Prices aren't cheap but they aren't exactly hefty either yet the portions are fair and there's always some for leftovers the next day! Anyway, I figured I would give my two cents since I love this place and I cannot stand when others are so quick to judge. I don't think they realize how their words can have a huge effect on someone's business and livelihood. People would do better to think more rationally before jumping online with wild accusations and insults. The world would be a much better and less "racist" place.

Overall, family and i had a very good dinner here. Antipasto, pasta dishes, and main entrees were all tasty, if not spectacular. Meatballs were the standout for sure. Family style portions were somewhat undersized, allowing only a small amount for each person. Service for us was very good, with a friendly, attentive waiter who was happy to help with anything we asked. We would return but would more likely go to Don Peppe if we are in the Howard Beach area.

I'm in Howard Beach a lot, and am beyond tired of the Italian eateries there. Variable food, claustrophobic seating, high noise levels, wait staff that are great at ignoring you and forgetting what you asked for. We found Aldo's by accident. And unlike most reviewers, we made it into the dining room. Out front is a pizza place with quick service. In back is Italian dining, with every single thing we've tried being very good or better, with warm, friendly service, and on our last visit, a live singer (Italian and American easy listening favorites). I've had their veal parm - tender, tasty, and on this visit, lentil vegetable soup - among the best I've ever had, Osso Buco - a special that night, wonderful, over creamy risotto. I couldn't finish it all, so I had the leftovers the next day, still amazing. My wife had another special, sole with crabmeat stuffing. I won't touch most fish unless thin, crispy fried (think LJS) but the fish was very good and the stuffing even better! ONLY thing uninspiring , the mussels. They are in bad need of a lot more garlic! Overall, as a group we are beyond finicky - and we all enjoyed our meal! One note - up front, getting pizza, I'm sure it's inexpensive. Get a dish like mine, not so much. But I did get 2 meals out of it, and enjoyed every last scrap! So ignore reviews from a couple years ago by people stuck at Days Inn or JFK who didn't like what they had. I gather that management changed at some point; one way or another, the arrogant Italian eateries in HB down Cross Bay could learn a lot from the food and service here!

In a city of great pizza, itâs hard to stand out. New Pizza Pizzeria has been in business for over 60 years and is an old time favorite with great pizza. They serve the crust crispy with fresh sauce and cheese. Itâs perfect.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. Generous portions of fabulous Italian food and wonderful waiters. Salads, clams, pasta with clams, pasta with shrimp, veal, lamb, it was all outstanding. The desserts were a feast as well.

We usually order the ravioli. Cheese is our favorite. Portions are wonderful tasting and very filling. Salads are fresh and crispy and nice sized. Dressings are fresh tasting. Homemade bread is hearty and delicious. Staff is most friendly and attentive. Prices are very good. Going to try their cauliflower crust pizza next time. This place is so clean and kept one would think it is brand new but it is a well established place. When he can, the chef comes out front and checks on every table. Casual dress. This is a 5 STAR Restaurant
