We have had issues with this place before but typically when we dine in. We ordered carry outs and was told 25 minutes. Went to pick the order up and had to wait an extra 25 because they said there was a mixup with our wings. Got everything home and the pizza was pretty good, sandwich and kids pasta was ok but the wings...the ones that caused the order to be delayed, were over cooked, very dry and cold. Now one would think that they would at least be warm since we had to wait for them, right? There are a few things we really like here but they need to improve their service. I donât think weâll be going back for a while.
We are located in a small, red building on the west side of Main Street. We are near Lincoln School.
Though itâs only been open for a short time, Jakes is quickly becoming a favorite of mine and my family! The thin crust is delicious, but I also heartily recommend the Chicago style. There are also sandwiches, pastas, and appetizers. Everything is fresh and the staff is friendly!
We went having heard it was excellent and it is! Food is unique, excellent and served with a smile. We had to sit at the bar as it was packed in a Wednesday night. But that was fine as it is very roomy. Fantastic art including a John Pugh mural check out the website for menu and more. Reasonably priced, easy access, good for groups or couples. Also take out. Donât miss it.

Pizza is a personal choice. Everyone has their favorite. Mine is Sam's. The sausage is very good. It's a little greasy but that's what makes it so good. We hit it every couple of weeks and have never been disappointed.

Alberto's is one of my go-to, can't fail restaurants when it's time to dine, rather than just eat. The restaurant offers the genuine Italian food served to namesake Alberto as he grew up in Italy. Fortunately for us, be brought it to Ottawa and chose to share it with us all in a tastefully appointed dining room. I especially enjoy having a bit of space and sufficient quiet to enjoy conversation while I dine - Alberto's delivers! Service is great, and if you enjoy some banter, stop and chat with Alberto at his bartender command post in the entry area bar. There is no parking lot per se, but there is plenty of street parking on adjacent streets. Just park your buggy and get on in there!

I was here on a business trip did some pretty good research on TripAdvisor and decided upon this place based on reviews and their menu. I sat in the bar area which had multiple televisions with sporting events a good selection of beer wine and beverages and the service was fast and friendly. I had the pizza special with sausage and pepperoni which was really good with a lot of cheese and tasty meat and would definitely do again, I ordered the hot wings but you're also really good both on size and taste the sauce was good tasted homemade only downfall was it didn't stick to the wing very well. I will definitely be going back to this place when in Ottawa on business

Itâs hard to believe when you pull up to this place what you might be about to experience. We had been there about 12 years ago and it hasnât changed much. We had escargot and Oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. My wife had veal Marsala and I had a petite filet (not so petite) and lobster tail. Food was perfectly cooked. The owner stopped by a couple of times to see how everything was. It is a bit pricey but you get more than you pay for. Service was friendly, helpful and above standard. This is a very casual place where the food and service would make you think it was a coat and tie establishment.
