We celebrated my sisters getting her masters in nursing and had dinner here for about 12 people. Besides the challenges of finding parking, itâs very accessible. The server was very sweet and attentive and the overall atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We had our 4 year old and it was way past her bedtime, so we quickly ordered a margarita pizza. It was perfect for her and for us. We also shared the aracini. The pasta fishers were very generous in size and flavorful. Itâs BYOB which makes it more economical for large parties. Overall good good and great service for a crowd.

The classic, old-school, NJ Italian, family-style restaurant, and full bar located in Belleville, NJ. The Belmont Tavern is a family run restaurant which has been a part of Belleville, NJ for over 50 years and has a long, rich history in the Newark NJ are
Old school Italian neighborhood place with pictures of celebrities covering the walls and frankie valley playing on the jukebox. We had clams oreganata, long hot peppers, and shrimp Beeps, all excellent. I had to deduct one point for not being able to eat at the bar, and for being rushed.

The hubby and I went there last week on the suggestion of some friends and it was delicious. Bobby (the owner) welcomed us in with open arms. We started with the mozzarella en carrosa (loved it!) and ginger calamari (delicious!). The hubby ordered his favorite - linguini carbonara and he said it was fantastic. I got the Chicken principesa. Really really good. What a sauce! We ended with a dessert which was terrific. I forgot the name of it and it's not listed online but it's an ice cream-with cream on it, surrounded by strawberries and it had a bit of rum in it. I don't usually go for that type of thing but it was really delicious. We had no idea it was such a party place until Bobby gave us a tour and showed us all the great rooms they have for weddings, parties, bar/bat mitzvahs. Beautiful rooms! We'd go back in a second. Really terrific.

Visited 01/05/2019We've been coming here for many years. The only reason we don't come here more often is because there are some many restaurants in Montclair and the surrounding area and so little time, but Corso 98 is definitely one of our favorites. We definitely need to come here more frequently. For our appetizer we started with the mussels with sausage, which is a tasty and filling dish, easily enough for 2. I had the grilled center cut prime pork chop âcarellaâ, with roasted 'taters' on a bed of broccoli rabe and roasted vinegar hot peppers. (but not too hot.) My wife has the Chilean Sea bass, which she loved. Obviously this didn't come 'alone'... I just can't remember what accompanied this tasty fish, but Corso does a terrific job with their sea bass. We're trying to cut back on desserts, so none of that on this trip. We (of course) did bring some wine to enhance these fine meals. Can't beat a BYO!

Everything here is so fresh and tasty - never disappoints! Only complaint is I wish the place took reservations or expanded. Many times we want to go but don't because we just don't have the time or patience to wait (and wait, and wait.....)

We've been going to Boccone South for years. It's right in the middle of downtown South Orange a quaint not-so-small village in North Jersey. Their pastas and meat dishes are excellent. The staff is friendly and entertaining. We love that it's 5 minutes from our house.

"The atmosphere of Fascino, with its minimalist cream and deep red decor, borders on stark but not casual. The complexity's in the entrees, where flavors, scents and textures fuse seamlessly. Puree of kobacha squash soup with oregano crema and hazelnut oi
Fascino is a wonderful place - lovely rooms, excellent service, a terrific menu and absolutely everything was well executed. It's not especially fancy, but warm, friendly, efficient and our group of four had a memorable evening sharing the oysters, roasted Spanish octopus, pappardelle with braised lamb sugo (my personal favorite), halibut, and strip steak, and a side of parmigiana spaetzle (because, you know, who wouldn't), and there was not a misstep or off note throughout. I can't say I'd drive the two hours we would need to get there, but if I have any reason again to be near Montclair, I'd go back in a heart beat.

We arrived and were seated early for our reservation, but were prohibited from ordering an appetizer until the other couple dining with us arrived. Their menu offers a wide array of standard Italian offerings plus some $30.95 seafood options. Entrees come with salad or a pasta side with red sauce. Our soggy fried calamari appetizer was accompanied by bland red sauce. The Chicken and Veal Parmigiana entrees were ordinary and came with the same disappointing red sauce. They tried to pass off limp "homemade" pasta without the corkscrew shape as fusilli. It was crowded with a racially diverse clientele when we visited and the uniformed wait staff provided slow service. Their sodas were over-iced. Lots of plain, unremarkable food. They offer bar service and have a banquet room upstairs. Valet parking or else find a free space on the street down the block.

Great food options. I love the Stromboli. Beer choices are good here. The pizza is good, NY style is pretty true. From the hostess to the kitchen, the staff hustles to accommodate to your needs. Great for take out option as well. They can make a pizza exactly how you like it. Try this instead if dominos one night, you wont regret it.

Give me a relaxed welcoming environment serving great food over a uptight fancy pants restaurant serving overpriced food every time. Star Pizzeria did not disappoint. Here I will say that it's everything that makes it great. The chill bar with lots of tables, tv's, locals, cheap beer, and good food. We ordered a plain and pepporni pizza. The pizza was crispy, cheesy, and tasty. It was good in a thin crust bar style pizza is good. Would I go back just for the pizza? Probably not but if someone wants good food, cheap drinks, and a casual atmosphere. Star Tavern is a great spot.
