Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Ogunquit. The motto of the resort town of Ogunquit, Maine, is "beautiful place by the sea," and with three and a half miles of sheltered white sand beaches, the residents are definitely not lying. Take a walk along the Marginal Way, a path that winds along rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean, or explore the town center on the local public transit - an old fashioned trolley. With art galleries, fresh seafood, and the summer stock Ogunquit Playhouse, the town of Ogunquit is a favorite vacation destination.

I love giving a bias review and explaining the factors that go into my overall experience. Its Sunday evening and hunger hits and we are restricted to walking distance for food. House of Pizza is a 5 minute walk and we are ready to eat. Location is easy to find. Maybe 6 guests total upon entering. We seat ourselves in a 1990 style wooden booth and are greeted promptly by the owner. There are menus and a marquee with the menu on the wall as well. Large cheese pizza, 1 drink and a large free at around $19. The food was ready timely and cooked even. However, the pizza was nicely prepared it was very plain and semi bland. For those who like that it was perfect. I saw no wow factor concidering its NYC style ....it was not. The french frie order was crispy crinkle cut and golden brown. To sum the visit and experience up. 5 âââââ Customer Service, 3âââ Value, 3âââ Quality, 3âââ Overall Experience 3.5 âââ Considering there are plenty of other options within a miles that offer something higher rated.

Best meal of our latest visit to Ogunquit! Lobster papperdelle was one of the best lobster dishes I have ever eaten. Fresh and properly cooked papperdelle noodles with a light sauce and fresh lobster. Sooo good! We skipped Roberto's in the past because we come from an area with great Italian restaurants. Don't make the same mistake - go to Robertos next time you are in Ogunquit!

as a return customer...(see prior review) had huge problems here this evening..at first one person entered with a very large dog, they sat her towards the back wall...then minutes later two women entered with two large heavy shedding type dogs..well they sat them right next to us, at the entry of the lovely enclosed patio... the woman did not have trained dogs, they thought it was cute...to allow the dogs to nose up to our table and move around inches from our arms...this is not dining ambiance...then I heard one of them order a meatball dish for the dogs...could not believe right in the restaurant they fed this to the dogs, even had 2 aluminum plates on the table...this did not seem very clean..and when they left I saw just a quick wipe to this table, a quick sweep around it...some oily stains remained on the floor... Dogs really should not be allowed in when tables are this close!!! The woman kept giving me dirty looks, as I tried to push our table a few inches away - she thought it was cute to have these 2 dogs up and moving by our table side! Ruined the ambiance. We have been here multiple times and have never seen dogs inside. As far as the cooking, it seemed to not be the same as prior visits. Food arriving ultra hot, with pasta overcooked..due to the heat. Ordered one serving of cake, which we split...it was priced at 8.50 ...and was under 1/2 inch in width before splitting...price to size way off. Food seemed over salted, just not the same quality as prior visits. The Italian wedding soup, seemed different...extra salty with huge pieces of meat, that had to be cut in half..and it was overloaded with meat, nothing like it used to be.

Primarily giving 5 stars for being open later than the neighboring joints and having a super friendly staff. Ordered a pizza (custom items added) and had a brew (no draft, but ok selection of cans/bottles) after arriving in town later than I liked. Iâd highly recommend this to the solo traveler or family; good atmosphere and easy/relaxed for those with youngsters in tow that will be satisfied by Italian. Two thumbs up. Thank you for your kind words and we are happy we were open late so you could get a bite to eat, we hope to see you in Ogunquit again.

Fine Italian dining in a casual setting. Fresh Seafood, Steaks, & Chops Outdoor Garden Terrace & Private Dining Available
Didnât make reservations thinking it would not be crowded - wrong! The place was packed with a line out the door. Waited about 45 minutes and got seated by 8:15, so not too bad. David is the consummate restauranteur and seated us with a warm welcome. Food here is always consistently excellent. Pasta is fresh, mine was custom made to exclude garlic and it was an excellent spicey pasta with prawns. Second dish was the classic Alfredo and delicious! The little secret about Angelinas is their wine list - so reasonably priced and fantastic selection. Highly recommend anytime of year.
